About the Role

GenInnov is seeking an experienced and polished Senior Business Development & Investor Relations Analyst to support the firm’s growth in full compliance with applicable MAS regulations. This role spans investor engagement through licensed and permissible channels, distributor relationship management, pre-onboarding due diligence, KYC/AML checks, and maintenance of the systems and platforms used to communicate with investors. Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Investor Engagement

•     Build and manage relationships with accredited investors, family offices, and institutional counterparts through permissible channels, licensed intermediaries, and referral networks in full compliance with MAS regulations

Distributor Relationship Management

•     Monitor distributor performance and engagement; evaluate new distribution partnerships in line with regulatory requirements and strategic objectives

Investor Pre-Checks, KYC/AML & Onboarding

•     Conduct pre-onboarding checks including accreditation verification and suitability assessment; collect and process KYC/AML documentation per MAS requirements

•     Liaise with compliance and legal to ensure documentation is complete before account activation; maintain accurate investor records and flag compliance gaps promptly

Systems, Website & Communications

•     Operate internal onboarding and CRM systems; manage external communication platforms to ensure investor correspondence is consistent, compliant, and professionally presented

•     Work with the technology team to maintain and update the company website and internal systems used for external communications, ensuring accuracy, quality, and reliability at all times

Qualifications & Experience

•     Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Gather, analyse, and validate business and system requirements through stakeholder engagement, workshops, and research.
• Identify underlying business problems and translate needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, use cases, and functional specifications.
• Maintain accurate and traceable requirements, documentation, and decision logs.
• Ensure requirements are clear, complete, testable, and aligned with business objectives.

Process Analysis & Improvement

• Analyse current-state processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Recommend practical enhancements to improve user experience, operational efficiency, and service delivery.
• Develop process maps, journey maps, and other visual artefacts to communicate insights and recommendations.

Data Analysis & Insights

• Analyse data, user feedback, and operational metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
• Support decision-making through structured analysis, reporting, and data visualisation.
• Utilise tools such as SQL, Excel, and visualisation platforms where required.

Solution Design & Validation

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to support solution design and validation.
• Participate in workshops, ideation sessions, prototyping, and user-centred design activities.
• Promote evidence-based decision-making through testing and rapid validation.

Testing & Delivery Support

• Support testing activities, including UAT preparation, test case creation, defect management, and solution validation.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure requirements are met.
• Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, release planning, and delivery tracking.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

• Act as a bridge between business, product, and technology teams.
• Facilitate workshops, discussions, and requirement-gathering sessions.
• Communicate requirements, dependencies, risks, and decisions clearly across stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, delivery practices, and team effectiveness.
• Contribute ideas, experiments, and best practices that enhance collaboration, problem-solving, and delivery outcomes.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Operations Management, or a related field. Relevant professional experience in Business Analysis, Operations, Agile delivery, or related disciplines may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Delivery, Operations, Digital Transformation, or related roles.
• Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, user-centred analysis, business process modelling, and requirements management.
• Proven ability to gather, document, validate, and translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder discussions, and design thinking sessions.
• Familiarity with ideation, prototyping, user research, and service journey mapping techniques.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesise user insights, stakeholder feedback, and data into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, visualisation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in documentation and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Excel, Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, SQL, and data visualisation platforms.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with demonstrated adaptability, curiosity, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide system enhancement support by following up progress with Head Office and Singapore, giving feedback, and supporting QA.
• Handle customer migration by making announcements, explaining data format requirements, and arranging penny tests.
• Manage interbank data exchange area migration by announcing to banks, clarifying data format requirements, and coordinating penny tests.
• Oversee overall task progress and resolve issues.
• Review To-Be plan documents in the project.
• Conduct Fit-Gap analysis.
• Define requirements from a Transaction Banking business perspective, summarize them, and provide feedback to the team.
• Arrange and lead internal and inter-departmental discussions with client departments.
• Collaborate with team members assigned to the project.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in any related fields.
• Minimum with 5-8 years proven consulting or Business Analyst experience in a reputable or established consulting firm.
• Experience working and supporting client’s banking system projects is highly preferred.
• Experience as a Business Analyst or Consultant in banking, specifically in payments or transaction banking (cash management).
• Strong understanding of payment data formats such as MT101, MT103, pain.001, pacs.008, camt.053, camt.052, MT940, MT942.
• Strong consulting skills including logical thinking, issue resolution, communication, meeting facilitation, and documentation using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Project management skills such as progress tracking, issue management, scope and change control, and vendor coordination.
• Motivation to study and quickly gain expertise in bank payment and Transaction Banking Cash areas as a Business Analyst is preferred.
• Good communication skill in both English and Japanese (Business-level proficiency as mandatory) to liaise with Japanese stakeholders and clients.
• High level of self-discipline, accountability, and motivation to learn the client’s business.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to proactively drive tasks and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
• Experience in project management, including tracking progress, managing scope and issues, and vendor coordination is a plus.
