The Deputy Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Manager on the progress of site works and manpower related aspects of the project.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare master construction program and catch-up program, if applicable.
• Ability to plan for site access during different stages of work and tower crane location erection & dismantling.
• Ability to resolve drawing discrepancies prior to start work and settle drawing issue with technical team & consultants
• Ability to know how to work out prelims, budgeting and monitor cost report.
• Ability to manage Subcontractors and plan in progress for all works on site.
• Involve in planning all works on site, including program schedules and construction methods, forecast equipment, material and manpower requirement, and control usage and wastages of all.

• Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
• Ability to identify potential and occurring problems that affect the schedule of works at site and recommend solutions to relevant team/department.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University
• With 8 years of relevant work experience
• At least have 1 full cycle of the project with project value of $100M and above
• Good grasp of end-to-end construction process, methodology and other technical expertise and knowledge
• Good interpersonal skills, stakeholder management skills, problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Project
• Good knowledge on method statements
• Knowledge on planning access and site setting up plan
• Ability to read and understand drawings to solve site issues

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with consultants, resident engineer and clerk-of works on any matter related to construction works e.g. inspection of reinforcement concrete works and discrepancies in drawings.
• To execute the works and EHS matters planned by the Project Manager / Construction Manager / WSHO and lead the team of supervisors and sub-contractors to ensure works are done on time and done correctly and safely and to inform the Project Manager on conflicts among the subcontractor.
• Liaise with our M&E and Archi coordinators / Engineer / Manager on M&E and Archi works affecting reinforced and/or steel structure works.
• Liaise with our Architectural Coordinator/Supervisor of architectural works to interface with reinforced structure works.
• Liaise with our Land Surveyor or License Surveyor on setting out.
• To organize site housekeeping work for supervisors and sub-contractors on a regular basis.
• Check that plants e.g. cranes, water pumps, concrete pumps, air compressors are in working condition.
• Coordinate, monitor and assist the various sub-contractors on all matters relating to the progress of works.
• Ensure sub-contractor have the latest information and drawings.
• Attend all consultant site meetings, technical meetings and sub-contractor meetings.

About the Role

The Solutions Senior Project Engineer is responsible for executing engineering and design tasks for customer-specific solutions within the Solution Business Center Asia Pacific (SBC APAC). This role ensures that engineered systems meet customer specifications, industry standards, and quality expectations. Acting as a technical liaison between customers, internal teams, and external partners, the Solutions Sr. Project Engineer plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, customized automation solutions from design through commissioning.

This role will be based in Singapore, is part of the Solution Business Center ( SBC APAC ) and reports to the Engineering Manager.

The main tasks and responsibilities are:

Project Objectives & Delivery

• Deliver projects within defined timeframes and budget.

• Ensure project scope and quality meet customer and internal expectations.

Customer & Stakeholder Liaison

• Engage directly with customer technical teams to align requirements, resolve issues, and co-develop optimal solutions.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across SBC, other entities, suppliers, and partners to ensure smooth project execution.

• Validate customer requirements for order processing.

Project Management & Execution

• Execute engineering and design activities in accordance with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality guidelines.

• Manage quality assurance processes including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and customer approvals.

• Oversee and support on-site activities such as system installation, construction supervision, and commissioning.

• Provide regular project updates to the Project / Engineering Manager.

Documentation & Data Management

• Maintain and manage all project-related documentation.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor project team members as needed.

Customer Satisfaction & Communication

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through clear and proactive communication.

• Liaise with customers and management on production capabilities, schedules, inspections, and issue resolution.
