We are looking for a seasoned Business Development Manager to be part of our client's team in Singapore. You'll be accountable for creating new business and preserving and expanding current customer relationships prospects, and promoting company's growing business portfolio's market penetration.

• Establish and preserve enduring connections with current ship owners, ship managers, and maritime operators, as well as trade firms in Southeast Asia and Singapore.
• Act as the main point of contact for important accounts, making sure that questions are answered promptly and smooth order fulfillment.
• Track customer satisfaction, spot chances for upselling, and encourage repeat business for marine spare parts components and post-purchase services.
• Work closely with regional teams (China, Europe) and company's headquarters to coordinate on cost, delivery dates, and technical assistance.
• Find, target, and onboard new clients in the offshore and maritime business in Singapore.
• Create and implement a local business growth plan in line with company's overarching growth goals.
• To increase market presence, participate in client meetings, shipyard visits, and industry events as well as brand recognition.
• Keep an eye on industry developments, competitive activity, and regulatory changes (especially with regard to emissions and environmental compliance) to find fresh commercial prospects.
• Create market intelligence summaries, pipeline updates, and sales reports on a regular basis for management.
• Collaborate with the operational and technical teams to guarantee customer satisfaction and efficient project delivery.
• Oversee quotes, monitor outstanding orders, and guarantee correct CRM records.

Requirements:

• At least three to five years of marine business development or sales experience offshore or maritime industry.
• Familiarity with deck equipment, marine equipment, or environmental/regulatory compliance services is a strong advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marine Engineering, Nautical Studies, Environmental Science, or a related field

• Create a sales strategy to provide revenue retention, revenue growth, and new business for your personal client portfolio in order to reach or surpass your personal sales targets and overall organic business growth goals.
• Sets clear objectives for each sales call or meeting; adapts standard materials to deliver engaging presentations to customer decision makers and influencers; asks pertinent questions to gather information, assess the level of interest of customers, and identify and respond to areas requiring additional information or explanation.
• Create a personal network in the business sector and represent the firm to clients and at business sector events.
• Obtains market knowledge and raises the company's visibility and reputation, as well as its goods, services, and capacity to deliver comprehensive safety solutions.
• Configure product and service solutions, as well as associated contractual conditions, to satisfy the mid- to long-term demands of clients, including input from appropriate internal specialists.
• Presents the solution to client representatives and negotiates an arrangement within a set of commercial constraints.
  
  Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in sales or inside sales position
• Experience of sales within marine or fire industry (not required)
• Must be a self-driven professional

• Preparing, arranging, coordinating, and monitoring their assigned projects along with drawings and plan according to the projects' requirements.
• Monitoring classifications, standards, rules, and practices suitable to the projects' requirements.
• Establish and maintain excellent relationships with marine sector clients to ensure technical expertise and support throughout the sales process.
• Collaborate with local businesses to get necessary permits, approvals, and documentation for regional sales activities.
• Interacting with customers to interpret their wants and requirements to the workshop and contractors, and reporting project status to managers on a regular basis.
• Adapt common engine designs to match customer requirements includes conducting calculations on power output, fuel efficiency, emissions and cooling systems.
• Maintain the project timeline by monitoring progress and coordinating activities, addressing difficulties, and preparing status reports along with.
• Coordinating materials and assisting with logistics, shipment, and receipt parts/equipment.
• Monitor and follow-up with Head Office on engine shipment documentation and engine delivery schedule to guarantee timely delivery in accordance with contract specifications.
• Liaise with Head Office and suppliers for paperwork.
• Provide technical solutions and answers to customers' installation and technical concerns.
• Organize, collate, and prepare detailed mechanical (2D or 3D formats) electrical designs for customers to follow their specifications
• To complete any other tasks specified by the Project Manager, including Conferences, exhibitions, and technical meetings
• Prepare a quote and other requested documents for sales managers.

Requirements:

• A minimum of three years' experience in projects, and applications engineering or technical support in the maritime sector.
• Expertise in project management, handling, and implementation.
• Successfully managed technical and commercial projects from start to finish preferably involving shipyards, vessel owners, or original equipment manufacturers.
• Strong knowledge and experience in AutoCAD, CAD or SolidWorks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with teams from design, development, and management to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Create and monitor comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and schedules, to keep projects on track.
• Allocate resources effectively to ensure project milestones are met on schedule and within budget limits.
• Anticipate potential challenges and develop strategies to minimize risks, maintaining smooth project flow.
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels with team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure consistent updates and alignment on project goals.
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects at once, focusing on each projects specific needs and timelines.
• Organize regular project status meetings and compile progress reports for senior leadership and clients.
• Foster a supportive and collaborative team environment that promotes teamwork and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure all project activities align with industry regulations, standards, and best practices in project management.

Qualifications:

• Relevant practical experience.
• Proven experience in project engineering or related roles within the [Marine / Oil & Gas].
• Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical and non-technical information to various audiences.
• Positive attitude, resilience, and adaptability in fast-paced and changing work environments.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
• Ability to think critically, problem-solve, and make sound decisions under pressure.
