Overview

An established regional business is looking for a legal and compliance professional to support a broad mix of commercial, governance, and regulatory matters. This role offers exposure to contract work, compliance oversight, corporate governance, and interaction with senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Advise on day-to-day legal and compliance matters across the business

Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements and internal documentation

Support regulatory, governance, and risk management initiatives

Assist with Board matters, resolutions, filings, and corporate records

Work with external counsel on selected legal and compliance issues

Help maintain internal policies, controls, and reporting processes

Support internal reviews, investigations, and other ad hoc projects

Requirements

Law degree or relevant professional training

Above 5 PQE with relevant experience in legal, compliance, governance, or related functions

In-house experience preferred, ideally within a regulated or structured corporate environment

Familiarity with commercial contracts, corporate governance, and compliance processes

Strong judgment, drafting skills, and attention to detail

Independent, discreet, and comfortable working across multiple priorities

Meta is seeking an experienced professional to lead our regional public policy strategy on connectivity and infrastructure policy issues. As Public Policy Manager, you will join the Meta Policy Team in APAC, helping our national policy teams to shape connectivity and Infrastructure issues and product agendas with policymakers inside and outside of government. You will also be working with our global teams and advise our internal teams on the public policy implications of our products and wider positions as a company.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Director of Policy Strategy and Head of Economic Policy APAC to shape and ensure delivery of the regional strategies on connectivity and infrastructure policy in the region
• Represent Meta to external policy stakeholders at events, conferences, technical meetings with regulators, and other public fora
• Brief executives across Meta on the risks and opportunities emerging from the policy and political landscape in APAC
• Advise Meta’s internal teams on connectivity and infrastructure policy matters to guide development of products and policies
• Build narratives and third party mobilisation strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Work closely with Meta’s global connectivity, infrastructure, telcos and energy policy team to ensure regional engagement is consistent with the company’s global strategy and interests

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of legal and/or public policy experience
• Significant experience either working with or in government, politics, regulatory agencies or think tanks
• Experience working on telecoms, connectivity and infrastructure policy issues
• Knowledge of existing tech policy issues, especially those driving the policy debate about the future of connectivity and infrastructure in APAC and the role of large technology companies in this
• Understanding of how to translate technical issues into persuasive public policy advocacy
• Excellent command of the English language as this role will work closely with stakeholders whose usual business language is English
• Experience working with cross functional teams to devise and execute on public policy work

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on energy policy issues, particular as they relate to the infrastructure and products of large technology companies
