Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
•  Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to integrate with both internal and external systems.
• Work with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake, including schema design, query development, and performance tuning.
•  Utilize NoSQL technologies like MongoDB for scalable data handling.
• Implement strong logging, error management, and monitoring solutions.
• Participate actively in code reviews, architectural discussions, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot production and development issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and deliver dependable resolutions.
• Use GitHub for source control, collaboration, and CI/CD workflows.
• Contribute to enhanced developer productivity with tools like GitHub Copilot.

As a Big Data Software Engineer, you’ll be part of a team of smart, highly skilled technologists who are passionate about learning and prototyping cutting-edge technologies. Ingestion Services is working on unifying and standardizing several varied ingestion methodologies and convergence initiatives with latest Big Data services on Spark, Scala, Databricks, PySpark and leverage GitHub to support things like CI/CD and integrations and continuing to adopt the best in class cloud-native, cloud-agnostic technologies. Our team is co-located and agile, with central technology hubs in Chennai and Pune. Expertise in Spark, Scala, Databricks are mandatory. Skills in PySpark, GitHub, AI, Azure are welcome additions. AI readiness and DevSecOps exposure are key additional facets to possess and exhibit.
