We are looking for Senior Embedded Software Engineer to take technical ownership of custom embedded products that power autonomous and connected vehicle platforms. In this role, you will work across the full lifecycle, from early hardware bring-up and firmware architecture through field deployment and fleet management, playing a key role in shaping the future of AGEO's autonomous systems.

Exact role will be determined based on experience.

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade embedded firmware for safety-critical ECUs
• Architect and implement real-time systems using RTOS
• Enforce deterministic execution, interrupt handling discipline, and timing guarantees
• Take ownership of embedded products - stabilizing existing codebases, driving new feature development, and maintaining long-term reliability across deployed fleets
• Lead board bring-up activities, including hardware validation, driver development, and system initialization
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers on schematic reviews, PCB bring-up, and co-debugging
• Establish best practices for code quality, testing, and maintainability

What we're looking for (Requirements):

• Strong expertise in C/C++ for embedded systems
• Experience in RTOS-based development (FreeRTOS, Zephy, or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of
• Interrupts, DMA, timers, and low-level drivers
• Deterministic real-time behavior
• Memory management in constrained embedded systems
• Experience with I2C, SPI, UART, CAN/CAN-FD
• Experience with Ethernet-based communication (TCP/IP, UDP, MQTT)
• Experience working with cellular communication modules and modem integration (AT command interfaces, network bring-up, connection management)
• Proficiency using hardware debug and validation tools - logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeter
• Ability to read schematics, interpret IC datasheets, and work effectively at the hardware-software boundary
• Solid Git workflow for collaborative development practices
• Minimum 4+ years of embedded software development experience

The Hardware Test Engineer is responsible for driving ATE test solutions for devices and module roadmap and solutions for Renesas’ AI-focused semiconductor portfolio. The position plays a critical role in ensuring product delivery ensuring robust backend solution with no quality issues for AI power semiconductors supporting data center, accelerator, and advanced computing applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Project manage the design and logistics of load boards, probe cards, test sockets and change kits from definition, RFQ, design review and approval to NPI or Production Release.
• Main contact with load boards, probe cards, test sockets and change kit vendors for technical, commercial and operational aspects.
• Manage and monitor spending budget for load boards, probe cards, test sockets and change kits, manage and maintain the tool/system for ATE hardware request and tracking hardware inventory.
• Identify and execute areas for Gross Margin Improvement Initiatives in areas related to load boards, probe cards, test sockets, change kits.
• Interface with cross-functional (Product Group’s engineering, operation etc.) teams for forecast on load boards, probe cards, test sockets and change kits and execute to support NPI timeline, revenue and capacity
• Technical expertise in module testing (socket, board, change kit and handling) on ATE/handlers and providing technical direction for production solution

What you'll do:

• Develop embedded firmware for custom ECUs and IoT devices used in vehicle platforms - from initial hardware bring-up through production deployment
• Write device drivers and integration layers for sensors and communication modules including GNSS receivers, LoRa/LoRaWAN modules, cellular modems, CAN/J1939 buses, etc.
• Build and maintain ROS2-based applications running on embedded Linux platforms, including containerized workloads and OTA update pipelines
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers during schematic review, PCB bring-up, and hardware-software co-debugging on custom designs
• Define and maintain firmware architecture, interface specifications, and test procedures to ensure reliability, robustness, and maintainability in harsh field environments
• Lead improvements to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release processes for embedded firmware

What we're looking for (Requirements):

• Strong C/C++ for embedded systems (bare metal, RTOS, and embedded Linux)
• Experience designing and maintaining production-grade embedded firmware with real hardware constraints
• Experience deploying containerized applications (Docker or equivalent)
• Experience working with embedded interfaces and buses: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN/CAN FD
• Experience with network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, MQTT
