Position overview

The System Engineer is responsible for end-to-end system-level quality, integrating cross-functional components, and ensuring efficient issue resolution and continuous system improvement. This role bridges triage, development, and validation, evolving from issue handling to system ownership and optimization.

Role responsibilities

• System-Level Ownership

  • Own system behavior across modules (perception, planning, control, etc.)

  • Understand and manage cross-component dependencies and interfaces

• Advanced Triage & Root Cause Analysis

  • Lead complex issue investigations beyond surface-level triage

  • Drive root cause analysis across software, data, and system interactions

  • Ensure high-quality and timely resolution of critical issues

• Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Act as the central point between engineering, testing, and operations teams

  • Align priorities and drive resolution across multiple stakeholders

• System Quality & Process Improvement

  • Identify systemic issues and recurring patterns

  • Improve triage workflows, feedback loops, and system robustness

  • Propose and implement scalable solutions (not just case-by-case fixes)

• Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Use logs, metrics, and field data to diagnose issues and guide improvements

  • Define KPIs for system performance and triage efficiency

• Technical Leadership (Emerging)

  • Influence system design decisions based on real-world issues

Required experience

• Strong system thinking and ability to understand complex, integrated systems

• Experience in debugging, triage, or system integration (AV or similar complex systems preferred)

• Ability to work across teams and drive alignment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with logs analysis, data pipelines, and debugging tools

The successful candidate will be:

• Assisting in business development activities to build a steady pipeline of opportunities and wins
• Planning and executing the day-to-day activities of IT audit and data assurance engagements for a variety of clients
• Evaluating the design and effectiveness of IT controls, IT governance practices supporting the client’s business and operations and data quality of the client’s systems
• Identifying and communicating value adding recommendations on IT risk management issues and performance improvement opportunities to clients
• Identify, sell / cross-sell and deliver IT and cyber related opportunities such as cyber assurance and attestation (SOC 1/2/3), project assurance, IT policy and governance reviews, emerging technology risks
• Coaching, mentoring and providing guidance to staff on career and personal development
• Having opportunities to broaden own development and greater exposure to relevant services within the Assurance and Risk Consulting Team

The ideal candidate should:

• Possess a recognized degree in a Technology related field, such as Information Technology, Accountancy/Commerce/Business with a major in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering (Electronics/Computer)
• Have minimum 3 years of experience in SAP/ERP audit work, including IT controls testing and data assurance work
• Other relevant certifications such as CISA will be advantageous have knowledge of the systems development lifecycle, information security, and IT management
• Have good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Possess strong project and client management abilities
• Be willing to travel locally or regionally
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present ideas and results to technical and non-technical audiences, which include audit committees and senior management
• Be innovative and resourceful with strong interpersonal, organisational, presentation and report writing skills, have a naturally inquisitive mind and be able to think “outside the box”

About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL solutions. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, scalability, and alignment with business and technical requirements

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to meet business, technical, and user requirements.
• Collect, refine, and integrate new datasets. Maintain comprehensive documentation and data mappings across multiple systems.
• Create optimized and scalable data models that align with organizational data architecture standards and best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and perform rigorous testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Drive continuous improvement in data quality through optimization, testing, and solution design reviews.

• Ensure adherence to development standards and perform periodic reviews to maintain pipeline performance and sustainability.
• Coordinate and conduct testing with stakeholders to ensure effective deployment of data pipelines and dashboards.
• Monitor data pipelines continuously and collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot and optimize performance.

We are looking for people who

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, equivalent fields or proven experience in data engineering
• Stakeholder Management – Conversant in Business terms and ability to resolve and explain data analytics issues with Business users and other concerned stakeholders
• A minimum 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics field. An analytics practitioner with proven experience in delivering data-driven business solution and data-driven process augmentation
• Proven experience in data engineering, ETL development, and big data technologies
• A strong team player who is meticulous, detail-oriented, and capable of performing under pressure
• Proficiency in tools and platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and cloud data services(e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Hands-one experience with large volumes of data using SQL, Spark, Hadoop, or other bigdata ecosystems is preferred
• Possesses strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
