ATS is currently seeking a suitable candidate to assist with the design, build, installation, commissioning and support of automation and control projects for regional manufacturers using different programming languages, which could be both part of a team or individually subject to customer requirements.This role will work from user requirements specifications to create functional design specifications, before taking part in factory acceptance tests, site installation, commissioning, production of operation and training manuals, and customer training. Education (Required)

About the Role

We are hiring a HardwareEngineer to own the full hardware quality loop – from RMA diagnostics andhands-on rework, through root cause analysis, to driving design improvementsthat feed back into production. This is not a pure bench technician role and nota pure design role. ·       Cloud-Native Deployment: Deploy, scale, and tuneworkloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) using Helm and theSpark K8s Operator.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

·       Experience: 5+ years of softwareengineering experience focusing on distributed systems, big data, or backendengineering.

·       Languages: Experience in Scala(or any JVM language with a willingness to learn Scala). Python/Rust is a plus.

·       Big Data Frameworks: Experience with ApacheSpark (tuning, partitioning, driver/executor memory management, andstreaming).

·       Messaging: Solid understanding of ApacheKafka (topics, partitions, consumer groups) and serialization formats like GoogleProtobuf.

·       Infrastructure: Hands-on experiencedeploying and managing applications on Kubernetes (ideally GKE) andusing Helm.

·       Orchestration: Experience with moderndata orchestration tools (Airflow, Argo, Dagster, Prefect, or Temporal).

·       Rust: Experience writingsystems-level or high-performance code in Rust (or a strong desire tolearn and adopt it for data tooling).

·       Modern Table Formats: Production experience withDelta Lake or Apache Iceberg (understanding of transaction logs,metadata, and partition pruning).

The incumbent is responsible for providing pre-sales and post-sales support to customers on semiconductor testing; maintaining customer satisfaction so as to maintain or become the preferred tester platform.

Job responsibilities

• Project management, delivery and support of Test Program/Test Library creation, conversion or consultation as required by Customer
• Provide support and consultation for Hardware and Software solutions for Customer Projects and Production requirements
• Post sales consulting and support including Test methodology creation, enhancements and modifications, Test hardware/ software feature recommendations and audit
• Support and debug production issues such as correlation, test time and yield discrepancy, RTE, hang-ups etc
• Delivery of application training, knowledge transfer and skill-up for Customer

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering
• Minimum 7-10 years of working experience in IC testing industry
• Good knowledge of Digital/Mixed signal test methodologies
• Well versed with  Java and C++, script programming, knowledge on 93000 software and debugging tools will be an added advantage
• Good experience in test program development and test floor exposures
• Strong problem solver with good technical capabilities, good communication skill, self-motivated, customer focus and result oriented
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Occasional travel, sometimes at short notice
