RESPONSIBILITIES

Facilities Operation and Maintenance:

• Conduct the required daily maintenance and operations of the data center facilities to ensure serviceability of all active and redundancy equipment. This includes performing routine facilities activities such as critical system checks and functional testing

Main Purposes of the role:

• Perform day-to- day data centre / computer operations duties (key management, escorting vendors, facilities infrastructure checks, degaussing, routine checks, desktop & laptop management)

• Strong ability to support activities in data centre and computer rooms

• Ensure data centre physical security procedures are followed strictly.

• Prompt escalation of incidents following the standard incident response procedure & track till closure

• To generate reports to management

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year Data Centre operations experience preferable in a team.

• Experience working in a high-pressured environment with 24x7 on-call responsibilities

• Strong understanding of incident, problem and change management procedures based on ITIL best practices

• Experienced in supporting Data Centre vendors, out-sourcing vendors.

• DCIM knowledge and usage (CA DCIM preferred)

• Ability to multi-task and proficient in Microsoft Office applications; Excel & PowerPoint

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Highly motivated and self-driven

• An analytical and inquiring mind to derive innovative solutions.

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Those who have experience working in data centre operations in financial institutions will have an advantage.

• 4-6 year of experience in data analytics related roles analyzing large data sets and informing company strategy
• Prior experience in transportation, map-making, ride-hiding, or delivery related industries
• Strong statistical knowledge, meticulous attitude towards data, and proficient in running experiments

Job Description

• Generate data-driven hypotheses to solve key Product/Business problems
• Use data to identify trends, spot anomalies and deep dive into their root causes
• Partner closely with the broader product and engineering team to design and analyze experiments that drive key product decisions, deep dive into existing data to recommend new product ideas to solve for the most impactful customer problems
• Design and own frontend and backend data specs for new products, while collaborating with engineering teams to ensure accurate and timely data collection, consolidate data from multiple sources to create integrated and scalable views that can be used to drive decision making
• Provide catered analysis for specific products and operations, define critical business metrics and track them rigorously, and provide regular recommendations to achieve continuous improvements
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs/ pain points to scope up their problems and enhance internal processes through automation and improve productivity
