Hyperscale Server Design Engineer is responsible for designing, validating, and optimizing high-performance server hardware, racks, and infrastructure systems to support massive-scale cloud computing environments. Responsibilities include:

• Conduct server feasibility studies, define and maintain hardware architectures and solutions, and create execution plan.

• Design schematic, create BOM, support prototype/engineering build.

• Guide and work with PCB engineers on layout and placement.

• Design, deploy, and operate large-scale GPU-based compute environments, including optimizing network topologies like InfiniBand and Ethernet.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• At least 3 year of software engineer / backend development experience (Java / Node.Js) is preferable for this post
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (operating systems, network principles, data structures, and algorithms)
• Programming Languages: High proficiency in Java (including JVM internals and performance tuning) or Node.js (including its event-driven architecture and asynchronous programming model). Proficiency in both is a significant plus.
• Frameworks & Middleware: Proficient with common open-source frameworks and tools such as Kafka, RocketMQ, Dubbo, Zookeeper, and Redis.
• Deep knowledge of MySQL, including schema design, SQL optimization, and database scaling strategies.
• System Experience: Proven, hands-on experience in building, deploying, and maintaining high-concurrency, high-performance, and high-availability systems.

Job Description:

Designs, analyzes, develops, modifies and evaluates power electronic parts, components, sub-systems, algorithms, or integrated circuitry for electrical/electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Conducts feasibility studies, design margin and validation analyses and empirical testing on new and modified designs. Assists in architecture development and assessment. Evaluates reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used in production. May direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible in designing and implementing analog and power circuits, conducting design validation test and working cross functionally with other development groups.
• Research and enable innovative solutions for cost, size, power efficiency and reliability, including filing patents and enabling next generation technology.
• Generate design documentations, perform schematic capture, design board layouts, circuit bring-up.
• Solves complex technical issues, owns the technical aspects of assigned responsibility, including investigations and root cause analysis of field escalations.
• Plan and schedule to meet goals, deliverables and deadlines.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Typically, 4-6 years' experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Highly proficient in power electronics and DC/DC converters implementation.
• Strong circuit analysis and synthesis skills.
• Experience with PCA development, analog simulation and debugging tools.
• Excellent understanding of the characteristics of power semiconductors/passives and principles of switching regulators.
• Using empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate component, circuit, and hardware designs and thermal/emissions management
• Excellent written and verbal communication and inter-personal skills to enable global and cross-functional engagements.
• Ability to effectively communicate power architecture, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.
