Role Summary

The AWS Observability Engineer will implement, and standardize monitoring, alerting, logging, and dashboarding solutions across AWS environments. The role will be responsible for building reusable observability frameworks leveraging AWS-native services and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in AWS CloudWatch, AWS Managed Grafana, Terraform, monitoring best practices, and operational visibility across cloud infrastructure and applications.

• Implement end-to-end monitoring solutions across AWS environments.

Security Monitoring

Alerting & Incident Visibility

• Configure alert thresholds and alarm strategies.
• Implement SNS-based notifications using email and SMS.
• Define alert severity classifications.
• Reduce alert noise through effective threshold management.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

• Prepare implementation documentation.
• Create operational runbooks and support procedures.

• Roadmap Planning: Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineering Directors to translate business goals into a concrete technical roadmap. Prioritize initiatives based on risk, commercial value, and engineering bandwidth.

• Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the technical bridge between Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Security teams to ensure our technical roadmap aligns with global regulatory changes.

Engineering & Architecture:

• System Design & Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-availability (HA) IAM products and account infrastructure using Java/Kotlin and cloud-native technologies.
