Mission

The Underwriting and Risk Operations function aims to mitigate financial losses and regulatory exposure for the company through proactive merchant reviews, structured credit risk assessments, and continuous portfolio monitoring across the APAC region.

The Regional Director oversees all underwriting activities in the APAC region and is responsible for selected risk functions, including credit risk oversight, fraud investigation governance, merchant monitoring, chargeback performance oversight, and portfolio risk quality control.

This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating the activities of underwriting and aligned risk functions to achieve departmental objectives. The role ensures that the APAC portfolio operates within defined KPIs, scheme rules, and internal risk appetite, and complies with company policies and regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities

Leadership, Governance & Regional Oversight

• Oversee and manage all underwriting activities for the APAC region and selected risk operations.
• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate the activities of regional Underwriting, Risk, and Monitoring resources to meet departmental goals.
• Develop, implement, and maintain regional procedures, guidelines, and operational frameworks in alignment with global policies.
• Ensure that policies, rules, regulations, and internal procedures are followed at all times.
• Foster operational excellence, professional development, and structured training across teams.
• Act as the regional escalation point for complex merchant underwriting, risk, fraud, and credit matters.
• Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Commercial, Risk, BI, and Operations teams to support business objectives.

Underwriting Operations & Merchant Onboarding

• Maintain full accountability for merchant onboarding quality, risk classification, and underwriting integrity across APAC.
• Manage all aspects of client onboarding, including implementation of processes, controls, and follow-up procedures.
• Supervise the utilization of KYC and due diligence tools to ensure regulatory compliance and scheme alignment.
• Identify, investigate, and report potentially suspicious activities, violations, and high-risk applications to senior management, the AMLCO, and relevant governance bodies.
• Review and approve complex merchant applications and business models and make decisions on the disposition of merchant processing activity to mitigate financial, regulatory, and reputational risk.
• Monitor the application status of all merchants handled by the Underwriting function.
• Ensure underwriting operations are performed within approved SLAs.
• Communicate effectively with commercial teams regarding merchant onboarding, application status, and risk positioning.

Credit Risk Management

• Oversee the regional credit risk assessment framework within underwriting governance.
• Define and approve risk profiles, exposure thresholds, and collateral conditions.

Fraud Investigation, Merchant & Chargeback Monitoring

• Supervise Fraud Investigation and Merchant Monitoring functions, ensuring low fraud and chargeback (CHB) levels maintenance across the APAC portfolio.
• Oversee fraud and chargeback ratios at merchant, industry, acquirer, and card scheme levels.
• Ensure merchants remain within mandatory scheme thresholds and program limits.
• Lead mitigation planning and remediation strategies for merchants demonstrating problematic performance.
• Oversee fraud detection initiatives and escalation processes.
• Participate in underwriting-related fraud investigations and merchant risk reviews.

Reporting, KPIs & MI Distribution

• Submit and distribute Management Information (MI) reports for the APAC region. Although the Business Intelligence (BI) team prepares these reports, this role is responsible for their validation, regional distribution, and governance.
• Prepare and present structured risk, underwriting, credit, fraud, and performance reports to the regional board/Risk Committees.
• Communicate merchant performance, risk trends, and portfolio insights to commercial and operational stakeholders.
• Act as the regional coordination point between BI, Risk Analytics, and business functions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, or equivalent relevant experience and training.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in underwriting, risk management, payment risk, fraud, or credit risk, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in the payments, acquiring, fintech, or bank card industry.
• Strong knowledge of card scheme rules and regulations; registration and compliance requirements; chargeback programs; fraud frameworks; credit risk principles.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse financial data, build structured risk assessments, and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Strong methodical and analytical skills with the ability to prepare structured written summaries and business recommendations.
• Practical knowledge of Excel and data interpretation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese Mandarin.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Active Directory (AD) Security Engineer to focus on securing, hardening, and automating enterprise Active Directory environments, ensuring robust Tier 0 protection, privileged access controls, trust hardening, OU/GPO security, and cyber resilience. The engineer will work closely with Red Teams, Penetration Testing, and Threat Detection functions to identify attack paths, simulate AD-based threats, automate recovery capabilities, and continuously strengthen the enterprise AD security posture. 

What will you do as an VP, Active Directory & Entra ID Engineer?

• Design, secure, and manage hybrid identity environments across on-prem Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD) to ensure resilience, integrity, and threat resistance.
• Define and implement a clean, compliant target state for identity and access management (IAM), aligning AD and Entra ID security with enterprise IAM processes and governance.
• Conduct threat modelling and exposure assessments for both AD and Entra ID to identify and mitigate identity attack paths.
• Implement and maintain Tier 0 (Privileged Access) controls aligned with Microsoft’s Enterprise Access Model (EAM) and Zero Trust principles.
• Harden AD forests, domains, and trust relationships, as well as Entra ID tenants, to prevent privilege escalation, domain compromise, and lateral movement.
• Design and manage Privileged Access Workstations (PAWs) and enforce administrative boundaries for Tier 0 and Tier 1 assets.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in AD security engineering 
• Deep expertise in Active Directory internals (replication, Kerberos, LDAP, DNS, GPO) and Entra ID architecture (Conditional Access, Identity Protection, PIM, App Registrations, and Connect).
• Proven experience in AD and Entra ID hardening, Tier 0 protection, trust management, and privileged access isolation.
• Hands-on experience in hybrid identity design, including synchronization, federation, and secure integration with SaaS applications.

About the Role

The Assistant Director (Infrastructure & Cloud Operations) will join a lean two-person Infrastructure team as a senior individual contributor operating within a vendor managed environment. The role balances governance and vendor coordination with direct technical execution when required, supporting day-to-day infrastructure operations while ensuring stability, resilience, and operational discipline across hybrid environments.

As the organisation transitions towards a cloud-first architecture, the role brings strong hands-on infrastructure and cloud expertise to support both ongoing operations and modernisation initiatives. Within the small team, responsibilities for operations, escalation and coverage are shared and closely coordinated, with clear individual ownership across assigned domains to ensure continuity, effective decision making and sustainable workload distribution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure Operations & Service Management

• Support day‑to‑day infrastructure operations across hybrid environments (on‑premises and cloud), covering network, compute, storage, backup, and end‑user platforms.
• In a lean team, perform configuration changes, first‑cut troubleshooting, deployment activities, patching oversight, backup and restore validation, environment health checks, and technical validation of vendor deliverables.
• Establish and maintain operational KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting; drive service improvement through standardisation, automation, and process optimisation.
• Act as the technical escalation point for incident, problem, and change management, with a focus on reducing recurring issues and operational risk.

2. Cloud Migration & Operations

• Serve as the cloud subject matter expert within the infrastructure team; operationalise cloud foundations, including landing zone configurations, network and identity integration (e.g. Entra ID), monitoring, backup and disaster recovery arrangements, as well as cost governance controls.
• Contribute to migration activities (e.g. discovery, cutover and hypercare support) and ensure operational stability following transition to cloud environments.
• Operate and support AWS/Azure services (e.g., IAM/Entra ID integration, VPC/VNet, compute, storage, load balancing, security groups/NSG, logging/metrics), coordinating closely with vendors/MSPs.
• Identify optimisation opportunities (right sizing, scheduling, storage tiering) and implement or direct remediation to improve resilience, performance and cost efficiency.

3. User Computing (EUC), Endpoint & License Management

• Oversee the day-to-day management of end-user computing services delivered primarily through endpoint support vendors, including provisioning, lifecycle refresh, patching, encryption and compliance monitoring, to ensure service reliability and policy adherence.
• Maintain accurate asset and software license inventory, ensuring compliance with organisational requirements and prudent cost management.
• Coordinate with endpoint support vendors to monitor service performance and implement agreed improvements to enhance user experience and operational consistency.

4. Governance, Risk & Compliance (in partnership with Cybersecurity)

• Ensure Infrastructure operations comply with internal ICT policies, cybersecurity directives, and audit requirements (e.g., access reviews, change controls, configuration baselines, asset/license records).
• Maintain accurate documentation for architecture, configurations, SOPs and standards, support audit exercises and remediation tracking for infrastructure findings.
• Partner with the Assistant Director (Cybersecurity) on security requirements (e.g., hardening baselines, vulnerability remediation, identity governance) while maintaining Infrastructure ownership of operational execution.

5. Strategic Support & Architecture Enablement

• Assist in Infrastructure design discussions and vendor proposals to ensure solutions are scalable, secure and maintainable.
• Support medium‑term planning for modernisation, refresh and resilience uplift, aligned to organisational needs and cloud‑first direction.
• Assist in translating enterprise requirements into practical infrastructure designs and operational procedures in collaboration with vendors.

6. Procurement, Budgeting &Vendor Management

• Assist and contribute technical inputs to procurement (specifications, evaluation rubrics, clarifications), contract administration and payment processing in accordance with policy.
• Monitor vendor/MSP performance against SLAs/OLAs; review and technically validate deliverables and escalate deviations where necessary.
• Maintain discipline over contract documentation, renewal tracking, and license/asset inventories.

7. Team Coordination & Collaboration

• Operate as an individual contributor in the infrastructure function; jointly manage operations, escalations and planning with Assistant Director Lead within Network & Infrastructure.
• Foster close working relationships with Application, Cybersecurity (separate Assistant Director Leads), and business teams to ensure alignment in delivery.
• Provide knowledge transfer, documentation and cross coverage to ensure continuity.

As a Building & Engineering Head of Department and Chief Engineer you play a vital role in ensuring our properties deliver an experience beyond expectation, creating memorable moments for our guests.

• Ensures the smooth running of the property maintenance department, where all areas are maintained to the highest levels.
• Works proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries.
• Develops and implements plans where property maintenance initiatives & hotel targets are achieved.
• Leads and manages the maintenance team, fostering a culture of growth, development and performance within the department.
• Prepares and is responsible for the departmental budget, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained.
• Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
• Establishes and delivers an effective planned preventative maintenance programme to address maintenance and environmental and conservation matters.
• Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required
