We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance & Payroll Officer to join our team in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment. This is a key role responsible for the end-to-end management of payroll, while also supporting core finance operations across the business.

You will work closely with department leaders and senior stakeholders, acting as the go-to person for payroll-related matters. With a proactive and solutions-focused mindset, you will not only ensure accuracy and compliance, but also identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and mitigate risk.

What you’ll be doing...

• Managing end-to-end weekly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with relevant legislation
• Maintaining payroll system integrity, including employee data, award interpretation, and system configuration
• Interpreting and applying the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020 across varying rosters, employment types, and penalty structures
• Partnering with Heads of Department to ensure accurate timekeeping, roster inputs, and approvals
• Acting as the first point of contact for payroll-related queries and providing guidance to stakeholders across the business
• Managing superannuation, payroll tax, PAYG, and other statutory obligations
• Preparing payroll reports, variance analysis, and labour cost insights to support decision-making
• Supporting month-end and year-end financial processes, including reconciliations and reporting
• Assisting with accounts payable, receivable, and general finance tasks as required
• Maintaining strong internal controls and proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies or risks
• Supporting internal and external audit requirements related to payroll and finance
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, including system enhancements and process optimisation

Join Rest as a Senior Performance Reporting Analyst and play a key role in how we measure, explain and communicate the performance of our investment options. You’ll help shape the performance reporting framework – people, processes and systems – and support the Manager in leading day‑to‑day operations of the team. In this role you will:

• Deliver accurate, timely performance, exposure and attribution reporting for internal and external stakeholders
• Monitor regulatory developments (including APRA Performance Tests) and provide clear analysis and commentary
• Develop and maintain the Whole of Fund attribution model and share insights on drivers of performance
• Oversee daily performance reporting from our custodian and support continuous improvement of processes
• Contribute to regulatory reporting (e.g. APRA, RG97, portfolio holdings, OTC derivatives)
• Partner with Investment Analytics and other stakeholders to enhance and automate reporting using tools such as State Street Alpha / Charles River and FactSet
• Provide guidance and mentoring to Performance Reporting analysts

What you will do but not limited to: 

• Assist in daily financial transactions and ensure timely processing of payments and collections.  

• Monitor and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.  

• Support the preparation of financial reports, including cash flow statements and transaction summaries.  

• Collaborate with team members to maintain financial documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies.  

• Participate in ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed.  

• Provide assistance in auditing activities and help implement corrective actions where necessary. 

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.  

• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.  

• Has understanding of accounting principles, concepts, and basic taxation principles.  

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial software.  

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.  

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.  

• Proactive and eager to learn about finance operations.  

• Has experience in using SAP will be a plus point
