About the role…

ALP, an innovative firm specializing in logistics property development, is seeking an Account Executive to support our growing operations in Malaysia. The role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to full set accounts, financial reporting, and compliance functions.

Internally, this role works closely with the finance team and contributes to both accounting operations and tax-related matters.

What you will do…

1. Reporting & Accounting Support
2. Manage full cycle of Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, verification, and posting
3. Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journals, accruals, and prepayments
4. Prepare and maintain schedules for balance sheet accounts and ensure proper supporting documentation
5. Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies in financial data
6. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies
7. Liaise with external auditors by preparing audit schedules, supporting documents, and responding to audit queries
8. Monitor and improve internal controls over financial reporting processes
9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and proper expense recognition

What skills are required…

Responsibilities:

The Role

The Head of Finance / Financial Controller will drive key parts of Intellect’s finance function, reporting directly to the CEO and VP Finance, and partnering closely with executive leaders and external stakeholders.

At this stage of our journey, Intellect is scaling rapidly while strengthening its financial operations, governance, and reporting infrastructure. This role will play a critical part in ensuring strong financial discipline, accurate reporting, effective cash management, and scalable financial processes to support sustainable growth.

We are looking for a hands-on finance leader with strong controllership capabilities who is comfortable operating across both strategic and operational finance responsibilities. The ideal candidate combines attention to detail with commercial awareness, and is equally comfortable managing monthly closes, improving internal controls, supporting budgeting exercises, and helping leadership make informed financial decisions.

Your Responsibilities

Financial Control & Reporting

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounting, reporting, treasury, tax, and compliance
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance processes
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk monitoring
• Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and accounting partners

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes
• Support leadership with financial analysis, scenario modeling, and performance insights
• Monitor business performance against budgets and identify risks and opportunities
• Improve visibility into operational and financial KPIs across the business

Operational Finance

• Drive efficiency and discipline across G&A spending, procurement, and vendor management
• Partner with department leaders to align budgets with business priorities
• Implement systems, processes, and reporting structures that can scale with company growth
• Support finance transformation and automation initiatives where appropriate

Investor & Corporate Support

• Support preparation of board and investor reporting materials
• Assist with financial due diligence, fundraising support, and data room preparation as needed

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing finance team and external finance providers
• Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
• Partner cross-functionally to improve financial literacy and budget ownership across the organization

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred
• 8–12 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, ideally across high-growth startups and structured environments
• Strong controllership and accounting foundation, including financial reporting, compliance, treasury, and internal controls
• Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A processes
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, audit processes, and financial governance
• Experience managing external auditors, tax advisors, and accounting partners
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Oversight & Controls

• Review and oversee end-to-end vendor invoice processing across multiple entities, ensuring adherence to internal policies, approval matrices, and payment timelines.
• Design, implement, and continuously enhance internal controls to mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks within the accounts payable function.
• Act as a key reviewer to identify errors, anomalies, and policy breaches, working closely with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies promptly and effectively.

Intercompany Settlements

• Review intercompany invoices and support schedules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with intercompany agreements.
• Monitor intercompany balances, ensuring timely settlement, reconciliation, and proper tracking of outstanding items.
• Strengthen intercompany processes to improve transparency and period-end close efficiency.

Expense & Credit Card Compliance

• Review employee credit card and expense claims to ensure compliance with company policies and management approval requirements.
• Investigate and resolve non-compliant or unusual transactions, providing guidance to employees and management.

Reconciliations, Schedules & Period Close

• Maintain accurate vendor master data within the ERP system.
• Prepare and review accounts payable aging reports, accrual schedules, and reconciliations.
• Assist in preparation of journal entries for month-end and year-end close.

Reporting, Compliance & Process Improvement

• Maintain and update finance policies to reflect regulatory and business changes.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and support budgeting processes.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
• Apply knowledge of Singapore GST regulations to support accurate reporting and submissions.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization initiatives across AP operations.

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

About the Credit Card Product

We are building a group-level credit card product — launching across the Philippines and South Africa — on a modern global stack. The analytical function at the heart of this programme has never existed before. We’re creating it now — and we’re looking for the person to build it from zero with us.

Where This Role Sits

You will report directly to the Director of Product, and work day-to-day alongside the Credit Card Product Owners, Engineers, Designers and Business Analysts. You will carry a dotted-line to the Head of Data & Analytics, giving you deep technical mentorship while remaining fully embedded in the product team. About This Role:

The Senior Product Insights Analyst is the analytical engine of this team, owning the narrative behind every product decision. This isn’t a reporting role. It’s a product intelligence function. You’ll build the analytical foundation for our credit card business, identify what’s working and what isn’t, and tell us — with confidence — what to do about it.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Business Performance

• Own end-to-end performance analytics: activation, engagement, spend, repayment, and retention across all markets
• Track and interpret key KPIs — NPS, activation rates, digital adoption, unit economics (interchange, fee revenue, loyalty costs, ECL contribution) — and translate findings into clear product and commercial storylines
• Monitor portfolio health: revolve rates, payment behaviour, limit utilisation, and cohort evolution — with forward-looking commentary, not just snapshots

• Statistics: hypothesis testing, cohort analysis, and experimental design
• AI-augmented analytics: demonstrated daily use of AI tools to accelerate insight generation and automate workflows — this is an expectation, not a nice-to-have

Domain Experience

• 5+ years in data/analytics; financial services, fintech, or banking required
• Lending domain strongly preferred — credit card, BNPL, or personal loans. Terms like revolve rate, vintage analysis, and ECL contribution should be second nature, not new vocabulary
• Exposure to credit risk concepts (vintage analysis, ECL, delinquency) is a meaningful advantage
• Experience with customer lifecycle analytics: acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and churn
