Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Account & Finance Manager to join our property development team. The successful candidate will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide strategic insights to support the company’s growth and project success.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage full spectrum of accounting and finance functions, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Develop budgets and forecasts for property development projects.
• Monitor cash flow, project financing, and investment returns.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and tax regulations.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
• Provide financial analysis to support feasibility studies and project planning.
• Advise management on financial risks, opportunities, and cost optimization.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, implementing best practices in financial processes and internal controls.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in property development or construction.
• Strong knowledge of MFRS, tax laws, and project financing.
• Proficiency in accounting software (AutoCount, MHub & IFCA).
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Fluency in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.

This role requires a combination of costing expertise, technical knowledge of SAP, and effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments during ECO process, proficient in inventory valuation and inventory transactions. This role supports daily ECO and SAP product costing activities to ensure accurate standard cost and inventory valuation. This role maintains BOM, routing, and yield data, executes cost roll‑ups, corrects cost discrepancies, and ensures cost accuracy through timely adjustments and recosting. Hands‑on SAP CO‑PC experience and strong attention to detail are essential to maintain data integrity and support financial compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and update BOM, routing, yield, and ECO data to support accurate SAP standard cost.
• Run cost roll-ups, review results, and identify cost discrepancies.
• Ensure cost data accuracy through timely corrections, adjustments, recosting, and tie-outs.
• Troubleshoot ECO issues, analyze revaluation impact, and perform necessary data corrections.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support ECO execution.
• Identify process gaps and propose improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare and analyze inventory costing and transaction reports.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, US GAAP, and support audit requirements.
• Execute ad hoc costing tasks and reporting assignments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor and manage assigned customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
• Analyze aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on risk and exposure.
• Contact customers via phone and email to follow up on overdue balances and resolve payment issues.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies, short payments, and unapplied cash.
• Work closely and coordinate with internal and external functional teams/ department functions such as Sales operations, AR maintenance, Legal, RMA, IT, Buyer, Client support, etc.
• Maintain accurate collection notes and documentation in ERP or accounting systems.
• Reconcile accounts receivable against payment and against customers’ accounts payable records.
• Prepare and send customer statements/billings, invoices, etc.
• Provide collections input in Weekly Cash Forecast file in accordance with customer’s payment commitment or payment trend/behavior.
• Prepare and distribute regular AR aging and collection status reports to management.
• Negotiate payment plans when necessary while minimizing company risk exposure.
• Minimize bad debt risk and maximize accounts receivable collections.
• Support month-end close activities related to accounts receivable.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance collection efficiency and reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
• Interface with business partners regarding process changes, upgrades, and enhancements
• Ensure targets, measurements and service levels are met.
