About the role

The Global Facilities Cost Control Engineer will serve as a key member of the Global Project Controls organization, supporting project controls and cost management processes across global capital projects. This role is responsible for end-to-end construction cost control across assigned projects, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, change management and cost reporting. This role also serves as the Procore Financial Tools Administrator, maintaining system configuration, cost coding, workflows, user access, and data integrity for financial modules. c) Normalize historical costs (scope definition, location factors, time escalation, specification differences) to enable “apples-to-apples” comparisons.

d) Produce benchmarking insights for:

• Early-phase estimates and feasibility studies

• Budget validation and sanity checks

• Procurement strategies and bid evaluation

• Post-project lessons learned and cost drivers

e) Identify cost trends, variance root causes, and opportunities for efficiency improvements.

• Oversee fixed asset accounting including capitalization, depreciation, and asset lifecycle tracking
• Handle complex asset structures including rental, sales, hire purchase, and leasing arrangements
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition and asset classification across different business models
• Liaise with auditors and tax agents, preparing audit schedules and supporting compliance filings
• Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and internal billing across entities
• Review AP/AR processes and drive improvements in workflows, controls, and financial reporting

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with professional certification preferred (CA, CPA, ACCA)
• 5–8 years of experience in full set accounting with strong exposure to audit and financial reporting
• Solid experience in fixed assets, depreciation, and asset-heavy environments
• Able to work independently, hands-on, and partner with operations teams

The Company
Our client, a leading FSI company, is seeking a skilled Senior Executive, Finance Operations (Disbursement) on a 10-month maternity cover contract.

This role supports critical finance operations functions, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement processing while maintaining strong financial governance and controls. The successful candidate will work closely with finance and business stakeholders and contribute to both daily operations and ongoing process improvements.

The Role

• Manage daily disbursement activities to ensure payments, including commissions and operational payouts, are completed accurately and within stipulated timelines.
• Perform validation checks on payment entries to ensure correct allocation to financial accounts, cost centres, and internal reporting structures.
• Support month end finance activities through preparation of GST reconciliations and related schedules.
• Act as a key point of contact for finance and business stakeholders on payout related matters, providing timely clarification and resolution.
• Contribute to system enhancement initiatives by translating operational needs into user requirements and supporting testing activities prior to implementation.
• Continuously review existing processes to strengthen controls, improve efficiency, and reduce manual intervention where possible.
• Maintain clear and up to date process documentation to ensure consistency and compliance with internal standards.

Your Profile

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in finance operations, disbursement, or payment processing.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Exposure to Power BI, Power Query, or basic coding skills will be advantageous..
• Familiarity with SAP or similar accounting systems is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Able to manage timelines and work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
