Mandatory Skills

• Prior exposure to Sunline (SunLTTS / SunCBS) core banking
• Minimum 4-8 years of experience in core banking implementation, with at least 1-3 years in a lead functional BA or functional lead capacity.

Role Summary

The Functional Business Analyst will lead requirements gathering, functional design, system configuration, testing, and stakeholder engagement activities for Core Banking transformation initiatives. The role involves translating business requirements into functional solutions within the Sunline Core Banking platform, ensuring successful delivery across banking domains such as deposits, lending, payments, treasury, and transaction banking.

Ways of Working

Requirements & Functional Design

• Facilitate workshops with business and IT stakeholders to gather, analyse, and validate requirements.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and Sunline platform configurations.
• Produce key functional artefacts including BRDs, FDDs, process maps, and configuration documents.
• Define business rules relating to product setup, interest and fee calculations, account lifecycle management, and transaction processing.

System Configuration & Testing

• Lead functional configuration of core banking modules including deposits, lending, cash management, and payments.
• Drive SIT and UAT planning, execution, and validation of end-to-end business processes.
• Manage functional defect resolution with technical teams.
• Support data migration activities, including mapping validation, reconciliation, and business rule verification.

Stakeholder & Delivery Management

• Serve as the primary functional liaison between business stakeholders and project teams.
• Lead and mentor functional analysts across project workstreams.
• Support project governance activities, status reporting, risk management, and steering committee engagements.
• Contribute to change management, user training, and business readiness activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Sunline Core Banking architecture, including distributed or microservices-based environments.
• Exposure to Digital Banking, Open Banking/Open Finance, and API-driven channels.Knowledge of IFRS 9, Basel III, and banking regulatory reporting frameworks.
• Experience in Core Banking modernisation or legacy migration programmes.
• Relevant certifications such as CBAP, banking certifications, or financial services accreditations.

What will you do?

Financial Transformation and Digital Enablement:   

• Help clients modernize their finance functions by collaborating with internal and external teams to understand strategy and goals, then manage project workflows.
• Create and implement strategies using the latest digital enablers (FinTech apps, blockchain, VR/AR) to improve operational efficiencies, refine processes (P2P, O2C, R2R), and unlock new revenue streams.
• Assist clients through digital transformations, guiding them towards operational efficiencies and new revenue opportunities.
• Assess Cloud ERP and Enterprise Value (EV) solutions for clients, recommending best practices across the industry.

Financial Performance Analysis and Improvement:

• Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to identify performance gaps, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance profitability, optimize resource allocation, and manage financial risks.
• Collaborate with internal clients to understand their financial goals and objectives.

             
Enterprise Value Assessment and Enhancement:

• Evaluate the financial drivers of enterprise value, including revenue growth, cost optimization, and capital allocation strategies.
• Develop and implement value creation strategies to maximize shareholder value and achieve long-term financial objectives.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.

Financial Modeling and Analytics:

• Build and utilize sophisticated financial models to forecast financial performance, evaluate investment opportunities, and assess risks.
• Leverage data analytics techniques to extract meaningful insights from financial data and inform strategic decision-making.
•  Communicate financial results and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.

Change Management and Communication:

•  Collaborate with the change management team to develop and implement change management strategies for financial initiatives.
•  Effectively communicate complex financial concepts and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Foster a culture of financial discipline and accountability within the organization.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Finance or Enterprise Value (CFO&EV) roles.
• Proven track record of success in analyzing financial performance, developing financial strategies, and enhancing enterprise value.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, financial modeling techniques, and digital finance solutions (FinTech, Cloud ERP).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with financial planning and analysis tools, including SAP ERP, Oracle Hyperion, Microsoft Excel, and leading digital finance platforms.
• Ability to design and implement "to-be" processes and roles, leveraging best practices and enabling technologies.
•  Ability to assist in designing reporting requirements, service level agreements (SLAs), and process KPIs.
•  Experience with process transition, knowledge transfer, process reengineering, and shared services operating model design and implementation.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP FICO, SAP MM, SAP SD
• Experience working on Change Management, Training, or Value Realization teams.
