We're looking for a detail-oriented Senior QA Automation Engineer to help us shape and strengthen our QA function. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites that ensure our products meet a high bar for quality and reliability. • Design, create and maintain automated testing suites
• Write automated test with Cucumber BDD in Gherkin syntax that can be integrated with our CI/CD pipeline
• Contribute to test execution in containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

• Be the technical expert of InsiderSecurity solutions for our users.

• Serve as the interface between users and our product engineering teams. This is an excellent role to gain experience and insight into the cybersecurity industry.
• Guide junior application engineers on technical matters.

• At least 3 years experience in system administration, cloud administration or IT networking.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experienced with system and cloud administration (e.g., Windows, Linux, AWS, Kubernetes).
• Experienced with networking.
• Experienced with Python or other high-level programming languages.
• Familiarity with Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with database administration and SQL is a plus.
• Prior experience as an application field engineer or a customer success engineer is an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to excel in a collaborative team setting.
• Must be a Malaysia resident.

What are we looking for?

A Senior Software Engineer who has solid experience working with microservices architecture, is passionate about technology, commits to engineering best practices, and loves challenges and problem solving! You will develop back-end solutions based on requirements from the product managers, write tests such as unit tests, integration tests, and ensure that we are keeping our documentation up to date. Mentoring junior team members will also be a key part of your role, making impact every possible way.

This is a full-time role reporting to the Tech Lead.

Core Responsibilities:

• Write high quality, testable and efficient code
• Create and maintain our CI/CD pipeline
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Conduct regular code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality standards
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Test and troubleshoot software; identify and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Keep documentation accurate and up to date

Key Requirements:

• 6 years minimum working experience in software engineering
• Strong proficiency with Typescript, Go, frameworks available for it such as Node.Js
• Mastery of Agile methodology, microservices architecture, gRPC, containers, and Kubernetes is highly desirable
• Experience working on cloud based technologies associated with Azure / AWS / GCP
• Strong analytical skills, creative, detail oriented, and solid problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn and work on new technologies or topics fast
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Must have the authorisation to work in Malaysia ** **Note: This position does not offer visa sponsorship
• Able to working in the KL office (KL Eco City) 3 days a week
