• Provide Level 2 technical support for IMACS systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Alarm Systems, and backend IT infrastructure (servers, storage, network).
• Support installation, testing, commissioning & configure network devices such as workstations, routers, and switches. Maintain system components in accordance with project and operational requirements.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose basic hardware, software, and local area network (LAN) incidents and system faults, including root cause analysis and escalation to Level 3 or vendors when required.
• Respond efficiently to automated alerts and fault calls, performing initial troubleshooting and escalation within defined operational timelines.
• Support corrective, preventive, and request maintenance activities in line with ITSM processes and SLA commitments.
• Perform server/VM administration health monitoring (production and DR environments) PTRG, Server disk space etc.
• Support implementation, migration, and system upgrades, including preparation of implementation plans, migration plans, and rollback procedures.
• Support in conducting testing and commissioning activities, including FAT/SAT, and ensure defects are rectified prior to acceptance.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Maintenance Managers, and stakeholders to coordinate site activities, schedules, and issue resolution.
• Participate in incident, problem, change management processes and change request.
• Ensure accurate documentation and audit compliance, including: Work instructions / SOPs, As-built documentation & Service reports and incident logs.
• Support high availability operations by ensuring systems meet uptime, resilience, and disaster recovery (DR) requirements.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

• Minimum Nitec/Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/IT) or related field preferred
• At least 2 years’ experience in OT/IT environment preferred
• Knowledge of networking (IP/TCP)
• Experience in CCTV, Access Control, and system servers
• Exposure to system security (OS hardening, patching, AV) 
• Relevant IT certifications will be an advantage
• Good communication and positive attitude
• Comfortable with shift work

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery, deployment, and configuration of enterprise backup and recovery projects according to customer requirements and industry best practices.
• Engage with clients to assess business continuity requirements, design tailored backup policies, schedules, and retention strategies aligned with compliance and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of backup solutions.
• Act as the technical escalation point for complex implementation or recovery challenges across multiple concurrent projects.
• Deploy and configure enterprise backup solutions such as Avamar, Commvault, Veeam, NetBackup, and Networker, including integration with storage, servers, and virtualization environments.
• Conduct regular recovery drills, disaster recovery simulations, and compliance audits to validate resilience and adherence to governance frameworks (e.g., MAS TRM, ISO 27001).
• Provide knowledge transfer, training, and mentoring to client IT staff and junior engineers to strengthen operational readiness.
• Document solution designs, configuration standards, and runbooks for long-term operational sustainability.
• Support pre-sales by providing technical consultation, feasibility assessments, and effort estimation for backup and recovery solutions.

Requirements:

• Proven expertise in deploying and managing enterprise backup tools (e.g., Avamar, Commvault, Veeam, NetBackup, Networker).
• Strong understanding of system, storage, and network concepts, with ability to design integrated backup strategies for hybrid environments.
• Degree / Diploma in IT / Computer Studies or equivalent.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in backup engineering, with exposure to large-scale enterprise or regulated industry environments.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements (e.g., data residency, GDPR, MAS, ISO) is an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and configure enterprise storage systems, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and Windows/Linux servers across multi-site environments.
• Conduct system acceptance testing, performance validation, and security compliance checks; prepare comprehensive technical documentation and runbooks for client handover.
• Serve as the technical escalation point for complex implementation issues across multiple concurrent projects.
• Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to junior engineers, ensuring project continuity and skills development within the team.
• Support pre-sales teams by providing technical input on solution feasibility, deployment timelines, and resource planning.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on expertise in enterprise Storage, Virtualization, Windows, and Linux Server Implementation.
• Additional knowledge of networking, backup solutions, and security frameworks is an advantage.
• Degree / Diploma in IT / Computer Studies or equivalent.
• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in systems and/or network engineering, with proven track record of handling complex, large-scale deployments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and vendors in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
