About the role

Hong Poh Engineering Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking talented and driven individuals to join our team as interns in the Quantity Surveying, Contracts, and Human Resources departments. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry and develop your skills in various aspects of project management and business operations.

As an intern, you will be exposed to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, where you will have the chance to contribute to the success of our projects, while learning from experienced professionals in your field of interest.

M&E Intern Engineer Design

• Responsible for Engineering Design by using AutoCAD software. 
• Collaborate with the engineering team to meet customer requirement. 
• Responsible to take measurement under special circumstances. 
• Provide necessary information to PE / PM/ GM regarding HVAC design. 
• Ensure the design provide on timely manner. 
• Conduct analysis and testing to ensure designs meet specifications. 
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical support as needed. 
• To undertake any other related jobs directed by the superior from time to time. 
• Responsible to work with PE/PM in preparation of complete tender submission. 
• Ensure complete tender submission on time.

M&E Intern Costing Admin 

• Create accurate and competitive quotations based on customer requirements, and liaise with the Project Engineer (PE) to ensure customer needs are met. 
• Regularly checking and promptly respond to customer emails, maintaining professional communication. 
• Ensure forward all quotation to customer on time. 
• Keep customers updated with the latest PR quotations promptly. 
• Prepare and compile necessary monthly reports for the department. 
• Maintain an up-to-date list of pending customer Purchase Orders (PO). 
• Handle payments for CIDB levies and contract stamping fees required for projects or jobs. 
• To undertake other related jobs from time to time as directed by the superior. 
• General admin works include filing, typing, checking and coordinate the stamping of contracts/ bonds.

QS Intern

• Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets for projects.
• Support the preparation and evaluation of tender documents.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and measure quantities.
• Collaborate with the team on various QS tasks.

HR & Admin Intern

• Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process.
• Support employee engagement and development initiatives.
• Help maintain employee records and HR databases.
• Collaborate with the HR team on various projects and tasks.

• Current university students pursuing a degree in Quantity Surveying, M&E, Engineering, Business, Finance or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Good communication and teamwork abilities. 
• Proficiency in reading and writing Mandarin is highly desirable and will be considered an added advantage for this position.

1. Sediakan lukisan mekanikal menggunakan perisian CAD/BIM seperti AutoCAD, Revit untuk penggubalan dan penyelarasan.
2. Menghasilkan susun atur sistem HVAC, perpaipan, paip dan mekanikal berdasarkan reka bentuk kejuruteraan.
3. Membantu jurutera dalam menyediakan lukisan teknikal, bahagian, butiran dan skematik.
4. Mengemas kini dan menyemak semula lukisan mengikut keadaan tapak, perubahan reka bentuk dan keperluan pelanggan.
5. Mengekalkan semakan lukisan, kawalan dokumentasi dan rekod projek.
6. Menyokong pasukan projek semasa peringkat pembinaan, pemasangan dan pemeriksaan.
7. Memberi sokongan dalam lukisan tender, dokumentasi reka bentuk dan cadangan teknikal.
8. Urus pengarkiban dokumentasi, konvensyen penamaan fail dan pemacu awan.

Kelayakan dan Pengalaman yang Diperlukan:

• 2-5 tahun pengalaman sebagai Penggubal dalam industri pembinaan berasaskan mekanikal.
• Kemahiran lukisan dan reka bentuk teknikal yang kuat, dengan kebolehan mentafsir pelan tindakan.
• Kemahiran organisasi yang kukuh dengan perhatian terhadap perincian dan ketepatan.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience as a Drafter in the construction industry with mechanical based.
• Strong technical drawing and design skills, with ability to interpret blueprint.
