Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Associate Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. This role is based in Tuas Loop, Singapore.

Responsibilities

- Closely involved – as a contributing team member – with a variety of assignments with the laboratory

- Accountable for technical activities of a limited scope and may attain additional responsibilities for release of standard and/or routine data to clients

- Conduct Routine Tests such as stripping test, moisture content, rebar’s geometrical measurements

- Work with Engineer and lead with advanced tests, including tensile test and ad-hoc experiments.

- Accurately record and report data from tests.

- Possess the ability to effectively contribute to technical presentations and communications within the engineering discipline

Skills / Qualifications

- Possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

- Working knowledge of laboratory safety

- In-depth understanding of testing concepts

- Ability to analyze and compile testing data from the tests performed

- Possess strong computer skills

Job Description

• Assist in supervising and coordinating M&E services work
  
• Attend project meetings; liaise and coordinate with clients, consultants, relevant authorities and sub-contractors on M&E issues.
  
• Manage M&E subcontractors’ submission of method statements, drawings, materials, samples, and work progress.
  
• Compliance with all necessary standards, code of practice and safety regulations;
  
• Handle any other ad-hoc duties and tasks assigned
  

Job Requirement

• Min Diploma / Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical Engineering / Construction / Building related)
  
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  
• Prefer with construction industry background.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Respond to and resolve IT service requests within established service level agreements (SLAs).
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop systems, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
• Monitor and ensure security software, antivirus solutions, and system updates are deployed and maintained.
• Maintain accurate inventories of IT hardware, software licenses, and technology resources.
• Support remote users and branch offices by diagnosing and resolving technical issues remotely.
• Create, update, and close service tickets, ensuring all incidents and requests are properly documented.
• Prepare detailed resolution notes and maintain records for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Develop and update IT documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles.

• Participate in after-hours and on-call support activities when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Windows support, technical helpdesk, or IT support environment.
• Hands-on experience with Service Desk and Technical Helpdesk operations.
• Working knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, ADSL, and VPN technologies.
• Experience administering and supporting Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and end-user support.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Willingness to travel to branch locations and provide onsite support when required.

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

1.     Perform detailed cooling load calculations and thermal analysis for data halls, including rack-level heat load assessments.

2.     Design, review, and optimize ACMV systems, including:

- CRAC/CRAH units

- Chilled water systems

- Cooling towers and pumps

3.     Lead and support cooling system upgrades and retrofits, ensuring minimal disruption to live data center operations.

4.     Evaluate system performance using KPIs such as:

o  Power Usage Effectiveness

o  System Efficiency

5.     Conduct energy optimization studies and recommend improvements (e.g., air flow management, containment strategies, setpoint optimization).

6.     Support capacity planning and future expansion work based on IT load growth.

7.     Review engineering drawings, method statements, and ensure compliance with design intent and operational requirements.

8.     Work closely with operations teams to implement EOPs/MOPs for mechanical system interventions.

9.     Participate in risk assessments, failure mode analysis, and incident investigations related to cooling systems.

10.  Ensure all works comply with relevant standards and regulatory requirements in Singapore

Required Qualifications

1.     Bachelor’s Degree / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

2.     Additional certifications relevant to theindustry is an added advantage 

3.     1-2 years’ experience maintainingelectrical, mechanical, fire protection system in a data centre environment

4.     Experience and knowledge of MEP equipmentsuch as CAHU, CRAC, ACMV systems, pumps, cooling towers, UPS, generators, etc.

5.     Strong technical expertise in thermalmanagement, cooling load calculations, and energy efficiency improvements,supporting design and upgrading of cooling systems in data centre environments.

6.     Strong problem-solving abilities,communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of ateam

7.     Strong written and verbal communicationskills

8.     Proficient in Computer skills eg.Microsoft office, google emails , docs etc.

9.     Shift work & Standby Duty is required(Shift allowance available)

Job Description

• To be involved in the planning and execution of civil and structural works.
  
• Assist the Project manager and Construction Manager in monitoring and managing the day-to-day operation of the projects.
  
• To prepare method of statement, construction sequencing, sketches, and other technical submissions.
  
• To monitor the execution of the site works and further review and develop the method and/or sequence of the works to ensure safety and efficiency.
  
• To collaborate with peers, and to liaise with trade contractors, clients and consultants and ensure timely delivery of quality services.
  
• To prepare Inspection and Test Plan, and conduct inspection and check on works performed.
  
• Check the drawings discrepancies and conduct field verification, and submit technical clarification to the clients and consultants.
  
• Ensure updated drawings including shop drawings are used by the site team in a timely manner.
  
• Prepare site record and submit to office in a timely manner.
  
• Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of reports and presentation to management, clients and stakeholders.
  

Job Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university or its equivalent recognized by the Professional Engineer Board, Singapore.
  
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Building projects and/or Geotechnical projects.
  
• Conversant with local codes and authority submission procedures.
  
• Familiar with precast concrete will be an added advantage.
