Job Description

The Electrical Commissioning Specialist will be responsible for supporting the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of electrical systems for a gas turbine power project. The role involves ensuring systems are tested, verified, and ready for safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Prepare the technical specification for safety study and loss and prevention, and assist COMPANY in completing the bid evaluation, clarification and briefing of the safety study.
• Organize and coordinate safety study workshop discussions such as HAZID and HAZOP.
• Review of third-party safety study reports, tracking of comments, and closure, review loss and prevention design drawings and documents.
• Preparation, tracking, and closure of the HSE register, and preparation of close-out reports related to safety analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above
• Minimum 10 years of direct experience in offshore engineering (offshore platform, FPSO and semi-submersible platform, etc.) safety design.
• Familiar with the principles, methods, and processes of international mainstream security analysis and workshops, and have the ability to independently organize relevant security analysis and workshops.
• Proficient with international mainstream safety and fire protection design standards such as API and NFPA.
• Proficient in the development of conventional safety and fire protection plans and system design in the petroleum and petrochemical industry, and flexible application.
• Past experience with direct safety design on at least 3 Middle East Offshore Oil & Gas projects required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and coordinate with foreign clients on process design schemes, etc., and solve the problems of process discipline.
• Coordinate with client to solve relevant problems and close-out comments.
• Responsible for technical tender document review, technical clarification, bid evaluation document review and other work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above
• More than 15 years of working experience in process design of offshore fixed platform or floating oil and gas production facilities.
• Have at least 5 years experience as a Lead Process Engineer in Middle East offshore projects, with work experience in internationally renowned engineering companies, such as Technip, Worley, Wood, Flour, MCDERMOTT etc.
• Familiar with oil and gas field development knowledge, offshore engineering process knowledge, technical standards and specifications (including but not limited to API, ASME, SHELL, Qatar Energy corporate standards, Saudi Aramco standards), industry regulations and policies of Middle East projects.

This role will focus on ensuring quality compliance across electrical installation works, including transformers, switchgear, cable systems, and associated infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing subcontractors, vendors, and site quality processes in a fast-paced EPC environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee QA/QC activities for electrical installation works across the project lifecycle
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards for:Power transformersMV/HV/LV switchgearCable trays and support systemsCable pulling, termination, and routing
• Review and implement Inspection Test Plans (ITP), method statements, and quality procedures
• Conduct site inspections, surveillance, and audits for electrical works
• Monitor subcontractor and vendor activities to ensure adherence to quality requirements
• Raise, track, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and site observations
• Manage punch list items and ensure timely closure before commissioning
• Witness and verify electrical testing activities, including pre-commissioning checks
• Review QA/QC documentation including test reports, checklists, and handover packages
• Coordinate with project engineers, construction teams, and client representatives on quality matters
• Ensure proper documentation control and submission of as-built records

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 5–8 years of experience in QA/QC Electrical roles within EPC, power, or industrial projects
• Strong experience in electrical systems including:TransformersSwitchgear (LV/MV/HV)Cable trays and cable management systemsCable pulling, termination, and testing

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform Lead Engineer's role for rotating equipment/packages on offshore projects.
• Responsible for the design and selection of specialty rotating equipment on EPC projects, such as process gas compressors, gas turbines, sea water injection pumps, etc., through various engineering work phases (i.e., feasibility studies, conceptual design, FEED studies, and detailed engineering for offshore, FPSO, and LNG projects).
• Responsible for the selection of specialty rotating equipment on EPC projects, such as process gas compressors, gas turbines (standard and combined cycle), sea water injection pumps, etc., in compliance with international API codes and client specification requirements.
• Responsible for preparing technical specifications and data sheets for specialty rotating equipment and packages, such as gas turbine generators, centrifugal compressors, screw compressor packages, sea water injection pumps, reciprocating compressors, etc.
• Responsible for the complete requisitioning of specialty rotating equipment and packages.
• Coordinate work with inter-disciplines, clients, and suppliers.
• Responsible for the technical evaluation of bids; prepare technical bid tabulation reports by interacting with suppliers, clients, and inter-disciplines.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, and model review studies for packages; coordinate and close out mechanical-related issues.
• Perform vendor document and design reviews for specialty rotating equipment and packages.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 20 years of offshore project experience (Well Head, Fixed Platforms, and FPSO) is preferred.
• Possess relevant experience working on EPC projects with reputed international clients, with a minimum of 2 offshore projects worked as Lead Engineer.
• Shall be well conversant with international industry codes such as ASME, API, etc.
• Should possess coordination and good oral and written communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare manhour estimates for HVAC scope on offshore platform/FPSO projects and onshore projects.
• Prepare HVAC design philosophy and technical specifications for HVAC equipment.
• Prepare HVAC air flow diagrams/schematic drawings.
• Prepare HVAC Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) drawings.
• Carry out heat load and air conditioning and mechanical ventilation engineering calculations as per ASHRAE for control rooms, electrical rooms, substations, etc. Awareness in SMACNA.
• Prepare HVAC ducting layout drawings.
• Prepare RFQ/TBE for HVAC Equipment.
• Update HVAC Master Equipment List.
• Prepare cause and effect diagrams for HVAC.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in HVAC/Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation.
• Manage a team of HVAC Engineers/Designers.
• Knowledge In HVAC system design, including Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and schematic diagrams.
• Review equipment GA’s, P&ID’s, ducting layouts, and chilled water piping layouts.
• Preparation of duct supports, ventilation system design and drawings, and air conditioning system design and drawings.
• Ability to support and coordinate with a team of Engineers and Designers.
• Knowledge of HVAC design fundamentals.
• Knowledge of software tools – AutoCad, PDMS, SP3D, Navisworks, Smart Plant Review.
