You will work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers and Senior Designers on the design and delivery of Urban Development projects. In particular you will work on land developments (residential and commercial), infrastructure and municipal projects including roads, drainage, sewer, water, earthworks erosion and sediment control.

Specifically:

•  Review sketches, drawings and engineering data received from external consultants, clients and internal stakeholders
•  Create detailed engineering designs and construction drawings compliant with industry standards and codes
• Analyse and prepare reports, drawings, planning and design documents for urban development projects
•  Liaise with stakeholders on a regular basis to manage project variations

We are seeking to appoint a Water & Wastewater Engineer in our Sydney office.  You will report directly into the Director - Water & Wastewater and have the backing of a team of over 520 experts nationally. You will be tasked with leading a project delivery team in a bid to achieve client commitments and build client advocacy and confidence.

Specifically:

• Manage major water & wastewater projects, including project planning and coordination through initial inception to detailed design and construction phases
• Supervise and mentor junior staff
• Taking a leading role as a technical advisor for the team
• Collaboration with other teams and offices to ensure integrated design approach
• Provide specialist technical input to feasibility studies and conceptual designs
• Undertake construction cost estimates for budgeting and funding purposes
• Prepare written reports and make technical presentations to clients and other internal/external stakeholders
