MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL EXECUTIVE ENGINEER/PROJECT ENGINEER

Responsibility

· Design and manage mechanical and electrical engineering systems (e.g., MVAC, Electrical, Lifts, Fire Protection, Plumbing, and Sanitary) for projects across sectors such as residential, office, commercial, healthcare, and institutional.

· Perform design work for greenfield projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and technical requirements.

· Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant drawings, project specifications, and regulatory standards.

· Oversee site operations, including supervising M&E personnel, tracking progress, verifying drawings and materials, and managing method statement submissions and approvals to ensure quality and timely completion.

· Maintain accurate records of M&E activities, including tests, defect rectifications, inspections, work progress, materials, equipment, and safety compliance.

· Monitor the installation of M&E systems, coordinating with contractors on-site, and addressing technical issues promptly.

· Conduct system testing and inspections with consultants to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.

· Prepare and submit regular reports to the project manager detailing project progress, delays, defects, and any necessary rectification measures.

· Attend consultant meetings and manage the relevant M&E aspects of construction activities.

Requirements

· Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

· At least 8 years of experience in M&E design and implementation.

· A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on Civil Engineering projects.

· Proven experience in the construction industry is essential.

· Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

· Demonstrated initiative, self-drive, and the ability to work independently.

· Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Electrical Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Contribute to the design, planning, and implementation of electrical systems for various projects, including potential involvement in data centre projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

· Participate in the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical systems, including power distribution, UPS systems, and backup solutions.

· Collaborate with project teams to integrate electrical systems with other building services, such as mechanical and HVAC systems.

· Develop detailed electrical schematics, drawings, and documentation.

· Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

· Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in electrical engineering.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in consulting field.

· Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, UPS systems, grounding, lighting, and backup power solutions.

· Familiarity with relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).

· Experience with HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems and power and cooling requirements in data centres.

· Proven experience working in complex, multi-disciplinary project teams, and managing relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other disciplines.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

· Experience in data centre design is an advantage.

· Knowledge of data centre energy efficiency considerations and sustainability practices is preferred.

Salary : Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Working hours: 4.5 days’ work week

Senior / Engineer, Data CenterFacilities Management

Job Description

Facilities Operation and Maintenance:

• Conduct the required daily maintenance and operations of the data center facilities to ensure serviceability of all active and redundancy equipment. This includes performing routine facilities activities such as critical system checks and functional testing
• Respond to Mechanical and Electrical alarms/faults, identify trends, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Respond and investigate Building Management System (BMS)/ Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) alerts, providing feedback on outstanding issues or events, responding to emergency situations, and being on standby duty as required
• Support Data Center projects and any additional and alteration work such as site construction activities and installations, coordination with external contractors and testing in adherence to operational standards within the given timeline
• Other duties as assigned that are consistent with the responsibilities and objectives of the role

Technical and Customer Support:

• Ensure contracted service level agreements and key performance indicators are met or exceeded
• Attend to customer requests and deliveries such as installations, coordination with the design & construction, operations requirements to coordinate customer move-in and turn-on, and others

Events and Accreditation Support:

• Involve in the scheduling, coordination and completion of all significant planned and emergency maintenance events for the facility and ensure these activities are executed in a controlled and proven method
• Undertake assigned tasks to support the various accreditation, certification and compliance initiatives such as BCA-IDA Green Mark DC/QMS/ISMS/BCMS/PCIDSS/OSPAR, etc as may be required
• Comply to all standard operating procedures (SOP), method of procedures (MOP), emergency operating procedures (EOP) and emergency response procedures (ERP) established for the critical environments

Qualifications

• Degree graduates in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or equivalent qualifications
• Candidates without the required academic credentials but with at least 2 years of relevant working experience in Data Center facilities management and operations or facility management experiences (M&E) in building, construction, semiconductors or equivalent
• Candidates with more years of relevant working experience in Data Center facilities management and operations may be considered for the Senior Engineer role
• Good technical and functional skills and knowledge of facilities management and operations
• Able to commit to 24x7 rotating shift duty
• Strong communication skills
• Working location: (East) at Chai Chee / (North) at Woodlands
