The NCCS Division of Medical Oncology is looking for 4 Research Coordinators to join the BREXINT study team: Breast Cancer Exercise Intervention, a nationwide randomized study examining the effect of prescribed exercise (versus control) on cancer recurrence and survival in early breast cancer patients, as well as the behavioural tools that help make exercise a habit.

The Research Coordinator facilitates patient recruitment onto the study from all participating public hospitals in Singapore (each Research Coordinator is assigned 1-2 hospitals to cover), manages the patients’ appointment schedules, conducts questionnaires, inputs data onto spreadsheets, presents updates at regular meetings, liaises with other study team members, namely: doctors, nurses, clinic operations, physiotherapists, exercise trainers, exercise physiologists, academic psychologists, health economists, digital app collaborators.

Asian Thoracic Oncology Research Group (ATORG) is the coordinating platform for translational research in Asia. Its mission is to advance medical knowledge of lung cancer and improve health outcomes of patients through clinical studies and scientific events. ATORG operates under National Cancer Centre Singapore.

We are looking for a Research Fellow who will provide critical support in the design, writing, and operational documentation of multi-country investigator-initiated trials (IITs) and translational oncology studies under the ATORG platform. This includes drafting study protocols, scientific reports, stakeholder materials, and contributing to consensus meetings and academic outputs.

This role is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong scientific writing skills and an interest in driving precision oncology research across Asia.

You will support ongoing research projects in therapeutic development and contribute to a range of molecular experiments and formulation work, including RNA synthesis, modification, and purification, as well as the preparation and optimisation oflipid nanoparticles (LNPs) and other delivery formulations. You will also conduct in vitro assays encompassing cell culture, molecular analysis, and characterisation, alongside in vivo validation work.

Beyond experimental responsibilities, you will maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure proper documentation throughout. You will support general lab operations — including reagent preparation, equipment maintenance, and purchasing — while working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Jobrequirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/ Materials Science, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Science, or related fields

• At least 2 years’ experience either in RNA therapeutics/ RNA synthesis/ RNA biology, or in Chemical synthesis/ LNP delivery

• Strong hands-on laboratory skills and experimental troubleshooting ability

• Good communication and organisational skills

• Documented proof of:

(i) Measles (or MMR - Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and

(ii) Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination received within the last 10 years, as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act.
