ITI invites applications for a part-time Acting teacher. The module to be taught is Acting for the Contemporary Stage and Movement for Acting & Performance, in ITI’s Professional Diploma in Intercultural Theatre (Acting) programme.
Job responsibilities include:
· Develop the lesson plan for the module with the Head of Acting
· Teach the module according to the lesson plan
· Assess the students according to ITI’s assessment and evaluation approach, comprising continual and semester-end assessments; this includes providing written evaluation reports
· Work with the Head of Acting and faculty on planning and delivery of the curriculum, in a holistic manner
· Attend faculty meetings to discuss course delivery and student progress
Job requirements
· Currently based in Singapore
· Available from 2027 mid March to end May and/or mid Sept to end Nov
· Minimum 10 years of teaching/practice experience
· Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching to professional and up to BA level acting students
· Experience in directing for theatre
· Experience in intercultural and interdisciplinary work and ability to take a holistic approach in relation to the overall curriculum
· Experience/training in contemporary theatre, realism and or psychophysical approaches to acting
· A well-recognised level of quality and distinction in your work as assessed by peers and other critical reviews
