My client:

My client is a well-established technology company building large-scale, consumer-facing digital platforms used by millions of users globally. The team is highly engineering-driven, with strong emphasis on system reliability, automation, and operational excellence. This role offers the opportunity to work on production-critical systems, collaborate closely with backend and platform engineers, and take real ownership of reliability and infrastructure in a fast-moving, high-impact environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure high availability and reliability of production systems supporting large-scale online services.
• Own core operational functions including resource management, incident response, capacity planning, monitoring, and reliability improvements.
• Review system and infrastructure designs, proactively identifying potential reliability and scalability risks.
• Analyze system bottlenecks and structural weaknesses, and lead optimization initiatives to improve stability and cost efficiency.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations, responding quickly to production incidents and driving root cause analysis.
• Continuously improve operational processes through automation, reducing manual intervention and operational overhead.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Shell scripting, with the ability to independently build tools or platforms.
• Solid experience with cloud infrastructure; exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid environments is a plus.
• Strong fundamentals in Linux systems, networking, load balancing, and high-availability / disaster recovery design.
• Hands-on experience operating or supporting large-scale web services in production environments.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, reliability-critical environment.

As a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Outcome Customer Engineer (OCE), you will partner with a cross-functional team at Google, to drive initial and ongoing business growth for our customers, providing technical advisory, clearing blockers and ensuring they get the maximum benefit from their investment faster. You will manage and execute the deployment plan, transitioning scoped workloads into production by providing technical leadership to customers and partners. You will have a direct impact on the velocity and incremental consumption of customer workloads, leading to accelerated value realization, higher adoption, and future expansion opportunities.

Qualifications

Job responsibilities

• Develop and orchestrate a structured, deployment plan across customer, professional services, and partner teams, onboarding the implementation team, clearing blockers, managing timelines and progress, and ensuring readiness (e.g., capacity, training).
• Employ coding, debugging, or systems design to resolve technical blockers and accelerate deployment.
• Drive and track progress of the initial and ongoing ramp of workloads, moving customers from agreement to consumption as quickly as possible. Maintain awareness of progress against the delivery plan, providing support to customers or partners during ramp, delivery, migration, or implementation phases.
• Identify expansion opportunities for new workloads within the account during project execution.
• Drive the product usage to help customers realize value on an ongoing basis and secure future agreement renewals.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
• Experience in deployment planning, orchestration, or change management, programming languages, debugging, or systems design.
• Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience promoting technical solutions in one or more of the following areas: infrastructure modernization, application modernization, data management, data analytics, AI, networking, migrations or security.
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages (i.e. Python, Java), and using technical proficiencies to remove blockers and accelerate customer deployment.
• Experience working with product and capacity teams to resolve technical and capacity blockers.
• Experience with Google Cloud products and differentiation from competition.
• Experience in developing and deploying solutions in a fluid, digital-native environment.
