The role

As a Customer Support Engineer, you will be responsible for advising on and selling aftercare services for existing installations. To strengthen customer relationships and increase revenue, the Customer Support department focuses on services such as maintenance, inspections, upgrades, service contracts, and training. The Operations & Customer Service Engineer provides first-line operational and technical support for customers. • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
• Share in-depth Google Cloud expertise to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
• Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.

• Experience working with, and passion for, the small medium business and startup ecosystem.
• Experience prospecting, building and maintaining new customer relationships from scratch, with excitement for building out greenfield territories.
• Understanding of common systems management concepts such as image management, patching, automated deployment, etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Support installation, servicing, troubleshooting and technical support for dental equipment and related products.
• Coordinate with local and overseas dealers and customers on installation, service requirements and product-related enquiries.
• Provide onsite and remote technical support for equipment, IT-related installation and service issues.
• Assist in handling product complaints, feedback and service follow-ups.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate parts availability for service support.
• Provide technical training and product guidance to dealers and customers when required.
• Perform other service-related duties assigned.

Requirements

• ITE, NITEC or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, IT, Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Good IT and computer knowledge.
• Relevant experience in equipment servicing, technical support or field service will be an advantage.
• Candidates without direct experience may be considered if they have suitable technical training and are open to hands-on technical development.
• Good communication skills to explain technical matters clearly to customers and healthcare professionals.
• Class 3 driving license will be an advantage when required to travel to customer or dealer sites.
