Job Summary

You will support the sales team by conducting site surveys, installing and commissioning hardware and software products, performing maintenance and repairs, and providing technical support to ensure timely, budget-compliant project completion.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys to gather accurate project requirements and support the sales team’s customer engagements
• Install and commission hardware and software products sold by the company to ensure full operational functionality
• Perform preventive maintenance and on-site repairs to maintain product reliability and minimize downtime
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections and testing to verify product quality before deployment
• Execute in-house repairs to restore product performance and extend equipment lifespan
• Carry out site and factory acceptance tests to confirm compliance with project specifications
• Provide 24/7 standby support for corrective maintenance and technical troubleshooting to resolve issues promptly
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and end-users to ensure projects and installations meet deadlines and budget constraints
• Assist with wiring, cabling, and system integration tasks to support seamless product functionality
• Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings to document system layouts and installations accurately

Field Service Engineer / Customer Engineer – Role Summary
Key Responsibilities

• Support Senior Field Service Engineers (Customer Engineers) with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment upgrades at customer sites.
• Utilize digital analytics and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on:Electrical systemsVacuum systemsMechanical systemsPlasma systemsHydraulic systemsGas delivery systems
• Communicate and coordinate directly with customers regarding service activities and equipment status.
• Carry out additional assigned operational and technical duties.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree, military technical training, trade certification, or equivalent field service experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in field service, customer support, equipment maintenance, or a related technical role.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Basic troubleshooting and diagnostic experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of:PneumaticsHydraulicsElectronicsVacuum technologyThermodynamics
• Familiarity with hand tools and test equipment such as digital multimeters.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in field service support or a related technical field.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Frequent walking and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, reaching, and climbing ladders or stairs.
• Ability to work at heights and lift up to 35 lbs (16 kg).
• Capability to distinguish colors for electrical and equipment work.
• Comfortable working around electrical systems and in noisy environments.
• Regular use of hand tools and power tools.

Job Description & Requirements

• Perform / give instruction on abatement system (scrubber) PM service, activate charcoal & catalyst replacement on site.
• Provide CM & troubleshooting on site.
• Perform equipment installation, onsite refurbishment and retrofit task.
• Develop high technical competency on company, equipment servicing and troubleshooting.
• Monitor field service works comply with company/customer site policies & procedures.
• To report all issues pertaining to customer claim reports.
• Prepare daily and monthly reports for management.

Requirements:

• Higher Nitec certificate preferably in electrical, mechanical or technical background is preferred.
• Good command of written & spoken English & Chinese.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience in maintaining machine operation.
• Responsible, independent with excellent customer service skill.
• Possessing general knowledge: understand the basic unit system, mechanical system and, chemical term language.
• Having knowledge of machinery code, standard, and rule is preferred.

• Attend site commissioning with customers and contractors.

Service Sales Engineer

Nordan Marine (S) PteLtd is an international maritime service company that service and repairs mechanical and electrical cargo equipment on LPG, LNG and LEG gas carriers worldwide.

With reference to the Managing Director, we are seeking an experienced Service Sales Engineer to support and drive our continued expansion in the APEC region.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Identify, develop and manage customer relationships within the Marine industry.
• Participate in sales activities and support deal closing with customers.
• Organize and participate in relevant sales/technical meetings with customers.
• Collect and share market intelligence and competitor insights within dedicated territory, in cooperation with our head office in Denmark.
• Support sales activities across the APEC region, with approximately 20-30 days of travel yearly to meet up with customers.
• Create quotations for spare parts.
• Create quotations for service estimate.
