Job Summary
As a Field Service Engineer, you will install, maintain, and repair high-tech production machines locally and overseas, ensuring operational efficiency and collaborating with customers and teams to resolve technical issues.
- Location: Kaki Bukit View
- Employment Type: 2-year Contract
- Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Salary: SGD 2,600 – 3,500/month (depending on experience)
- Transport Allowance, Performance bonuses
- Comprehensive training, including overseas Japan training
- Primarily office-based with frequent local and international site visits
- Work in cleanroom and production environments following strict safety and quality standards
Responsibilities
- Install, set up, and maintain advanced production machines in local and international locations to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment promptly to minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations
- Manage spare parts inventory to support timely maintenance and repairs
- Travel frequently within the region and internationally, including mandatory biannual Japan On-Job Training, to support machine installation and servicing
- Collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Maintain accurate documentation and provide regular updates on service activities and machine status
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and cleanroom standards to ensure a safe working environment
- Handle and transport equipment safely as required during service visits
Required competencies and certifications
- Education in Electronics, Electrical, Microelectronics Engineering, or related fields at Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma level
- Demonstrated hands-on technical aptitude in servicing and maintaining electronic production equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills applied to troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including overseas training and assignments
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Up to 4 years of experience as a junior engineer in relevant technical roles
