Based at our Brisbane South (Nathan) campus, we have an opportunity for a 0.6 FTE (60%) Medical Receptionist.
As a Medical Receptionist (Griffith’s title for this role as per the Position Description is Student Services Officer), you will be first point of contact for clients, external agencies and employees who use our services.
In this position you will work collaboratively with colleagues across Health & Medical Services, Counselling & Wellbeing Services, Disability & Accessibility Services, Chaplaincy Services, and with visiting health practitioners.
Your responsibilities will include:
- providing high level administrative support
- managing client bookings for Student Wellbeing & Accessibility
- processing billings and undertaking financial reconciliation for the Health and Medical Service
The open hours are from 8.30 – 4.30 so you will need to be available for rostered start times of 7.45, 8 0r 8.30 between Monday – Friday and available to work until 5pm.
It is essential you be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), pertussis (whooping cough) and hepatitis B. It is also essential you have Medical Reception experience.
What we can offer
The full-time base salary is HEW Level 4, $73,623 - $77,680 + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $86,139 - $90,886 per annum. (This position is Pro Rata at 0.6 FTE, 3 days per week)
You will be based at our Brisbane South (Nathan) campus which sits in the heart of the Toohey forest. As Griffith is a multicampus university, across campus travel may be required.
About you
It is essential you have demonstrated experience as a Medical Receptionist working in a clinical / medical environment.
In addition
- you are a team player, have excellent interpersonal skills, are respectful and willing to go the extra mile.
- you can multitask, provide high level administrative support across the unit, manage billing within the Health and Medical Services and be responsible for the management of cash and EFTPOS transactions and reconciliation.
- you are familiar with practice management systems (Genie and Point and Click preferred, but not essential), coordinating practitioner appointment books, appropriately triaging clients and adept at systems including Microsoft O365.
- highly developed customer service skills which will ensure you thrive in this role.
