JOB DESCRIPTION :

1. To head the technical department of Port Klang, Merlimau, Pasir Gudang (thinner blending section) and Ipoh.

2. Supervising Senior Chemist and Chemist on R&D work.

3. Report chemical division research and development to Deputy General Manager and Executive director.

4. Report building division research and development to Deputy General Manager and Executive Director.

5. Supervising for QA and QC matter.

6. Design new product brochure, packing/label and prepare specification for building material.

7. Assist Sales department on customer service/complaint and technical support.

8. Provide advice on trouble-shooting for production.

9. Liaise with sales department for exploring on new product.

10. Assist sales department or management on technical issue for new market.

11. Prepare technical document if necessary for other business company requested by management.

12. Conduct technical orientation to new chemist and sales.

COMPETENCY LEVEL :

1. Minimum university degree in chemistry or chemistry related field. For example: applied chemistry, industry chemistry, etc.

2. Minimum 5 years working experience in company as senior chemist level or above or equivalent designation with similar field of business at other company.

3. Possess good technical knowledge on company’s product and related products.

4. Able to lead the team and manage subordinate.

5. Good analytical skill, resourceful on similar product.

6. Fluent in English and Malay languages. Good command of Chinese language is an added advantage.

HURAIAN TUGAS:

1. Mengetuai jabatan teknikal Pelabuhan Klang, Merlimau, Pasir Gudang (bahagian adunan nipis) dan Ipoh.

2. Menyelia Ahli Kimia Kanan dan Ahli Kimia dalam kerja-kerja R&D.

3. Melaporkan penyelidikan dan pembangunan bahagian kimia kepada Timbalan Pengurus Besar dan Pengarah Eksekutif.

4. Melaporkan penyelidikan dan pembangunan bahagian bangunan kepada Timbalan Pengurus Besar dan Pengarah Eksekutif.

5. Menyelia perkara berkaitan QA dan QC.

6. Mereka bentuk brosur produk baharu, pembungkusan/label dan menyediakan spesifikasi untuk bahan binaan.

7. Membantu jabatan Jualan dalam khidmat pelanggan/aduan dan sokongan teknikal.

8. Memberi nasihat tentang penyelesaian masalah untuk pengeluaran.

9. Berhubung dengan jabatan jualan untuk meneroka produk baharu.

10. Membantu jabatan jualan atau pihak pengurusan mengenai isu teknikal untuk pasaran baharu.

11. Sediakan dokumen teknikal jika perlu untuk syarikat perniagaan lain yang diminta oleh pihak pengurusan.

12. Menjalankan orientasi teknikal kepada ahli kimia dan jualan baharu.

TAHAP KECEKAPAN:

1. Ijazah universiti minimum dalam bidang kimia atau bidang berkaitan kimia. Contohnya: kimia gunaan, kimia industri, dsb.

2. Minimum 5 tahun pengalaman bekerja dalam syarikat sebagai ahli kimia kanan atau ke atas atau jawatan yang setaraf dengan bidang perniagaan yang serupa di syarikat lain.

3. Mempunyai pengetahuan teknikal yang baik mengenai produk syarikat dan produk berkaitan.

4. Mampu memimpin pasukan dan mengurus bawahan.

5. Kemahiran analitikal yang baik, bijak dalam menghasilkan produk yang serupa.

6. Fasih berbahasa Inggeris dan Melayu. Penguasaan bahasa Cina yang baik adalah satu kelebihan tambahan.

• Responsible for following detailed instruction provided by the Manager/Operations Executives of their section.
• Review of job file prior to inspection ensuring that everything is in order.
• Ensure that the operations or inspections are performed in accordance with the approved procedure or standard/method.
• Prepare all necessary tools, instruments and documentation needed to perform inspection.
• Provide guidance to trainee or junior inspectors when on the job.
• Supervise inspection team when required.
• Check with Port Operations, agents and terminals for arrival and berthing status of vessels.
• Check draft field report and organise report before handing over to Operations Executive.
• Assist in daily operations when required.
• Update Operations Executive on daily basic for operation and highlight any problems encountered during inspection.
• Maintenance on equipment and other apparatus used.
• Bring to the attention to superior of any possible discrepancies during inspection and to take preventive measures.
• Adherence to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by uphold a good safety behavior and exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities at all times to ensure compliance to the HSE requirements.
