Your internship would revolve around bringing our robot to market. You may be remunerated with a combination of salary and share options. It is possible to combine this with our technical internships for a more “hybrid” role. This internship requires a reasonable amount of technical understanding/engineering interest.

The role is particularly suited to candidates with training in biostatistics, epidemiology, health services research, health economics, public health, data science, or a related field, and who have experience working with observational healthcare datasets.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and execution of comparative effectiveness analyses using real-world oncology data
• Develop study protocols and statistical analysis plans for observational cohort analyses

The Role

This position will be responsible to provide technical support, solutioning, industry knowledge for tasks assigned in the technical services section within Group Property Management (GPM). Position will also be required to provide support to the portfolio Property Management teams to review technical issues, defects, replacement and conversion works across Mapletree Group’s asset portfolio and ensure compliance to building safety requirements and standards.

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent
• At least 10 years of relevant experiences in building facilities management, project management and integrated fitting out works
• Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel). Experience working with SAP will be an added advantage
• Experienced in GRESB and WELL certification work will be an advantage
• Certification as a Green Mark Associate, Fire Safety Manager will be an added advantage
• Strong leadership, planning, communication skills and good interpersonal skills are essential
• Ability to manage operations and projects simultaneously

What you will do:

Cost Estimation & Planning: 

• Preparing detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates by analyzing architectural and engineering drawings to determine material, labor, and equipment needs.
• Prepare and assess cost estimates for construction projects to support strategic planning and  informed decision-making. 
• Develop, manage, and track project budgets to ensure cost control and efficient resource allocation.
• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BQ) in alignment with project specifications and scope.

Tendering & Procurement: 

• Floating inquiries to subcontractors, performing rate analysis, and managing the bidding process to select the most cost-effective mechanical suppliers.
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs based on technical drawings and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms, particularly regarding cost, scope, and project timelines.

Contract Administration: 

• Preparing and negotiating contract documents, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and managing subcontractor agreements.
• Maintain comprehensive records, including contracts, budgets, change orders, and project progress reports.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective project delivery.
• Collaborate and develop good relationship with clients and stakeholders internally and externally

Progress Claims & Valuations: 

• Verifying the actual work completed on-site to certify monthly progress claims and payments for subcontractors.

Variation Management: 

• Identifying, pricing, and negotiating Variation Orders (VOs) when design changes occur to ensure they stay within budget limits.

Final Accounts: 

• Reconciling all costs at the end of a project to settle final accounts and provide detailed financial reports to stakeholders. 

What we look for:

• Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, M&E Engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Experience with tendering for large-scale building projects above 20 Million.
• Possessing knowledge in HVAC is essential.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
• Ability to multitask at work on fast paced environment.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
