About Us

We are an established Design & Build interior fit-out company specializing in corporate office and workplace projects. As part of our continued business growth, we are looking for Quantity Surveying professionals to join our Commercial team to support tendering, costing, project delivery, and client presentations.

Depending on experience, successful candidates will be assigned projects of varying scale and complexity, with more senior team members managing larger and more complex projects or multiple projects concurrently.

Key Responsibilities

Tender & Pre-Contract

• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and quotations for tenders and ongoing projects.
• Review tender specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
• Work closely with Interior Designers and Project Managers on quantities, measurements, and cost planning.
• Participate in cost planning and budgeting for corporate office fit-out projects.
• Support the team in preparing cost proposals and presentations for client pitches.

Post-Contract Cost Management

• Monitor project costs and budgets to ensure projects remain within approved financial targets.
• Manage cost control and cost tracking for awarded projects.
• Evaluate and manage variation orders, procurement costs, and project financial performance.

Project Coordination

• Work closely with Project Managers, Designers, and vendors to ensure cost efficiency during project execution.
• Attend site visits, project meetings, and client discussions when required.
• Maintain proper commercial documentation and reporting for assigned projects.

Senior Roles

For more senior candidates, responsibilities may include:

• Managing larger and more complex projects or multiple projects simultaneously.
• Providing commercial guidance to junior team members.
• Supporting management in commercial strategy, tender pricing, and project profitability.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or equivalent
• Experience in a Design & Build company handling interior fit-out works for corporate office is highly preferred.
• The job title will commensurate with the amount of experience you have (minimum 5 years of experience for QS, 10 years for Senior QS and 15 years for Commercial Manager).
• Candidates with more experience will be expected to manage large and complex projects or handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced project environment.
• A team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skill.

Job Summary

We are looking for suitable candidates who have experience in delivering projects for corporate office clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project & Site Management

• Lead construction activities from mobilization to final handover.
• Develop and manage construction schedules; brief vendors on timelines.
• Supervise subcontractors, trades, and site personnel to ensure work quality and timely completion.
• Coordinate site logistics, material deliveries, and installation schedules.
• Oversee compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.

2.Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with Project Managers, Design Team, Consultants, and Clients to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Interpret and communicate plans, progress, and technical details to staff, consultants, and client representatives.
• Conduct and minute weekly vendor/subcontractor meetings to track progress and resolve issues.

3. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and submit site-related reports, including pre-construction surveys, weekly progress updates, and meeting minutes.
• Ensure proper documentation of defects, quality checks, and closure processes.
• Prepare OMM manuals, as-built drawings, and reports for client handover.

4. Quality & Safety Assurance

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Enforce adherence to WSH Act, ID21 safety protocols, building codes, and building management regulations.
• Champion a strong safety culture across all construction activities.

5.Regulatory & Building Management Coordination

• Coordinate BMO inspections (e.g., water ponding test, ceiling void checks, post-renovation inspections).
• Arrange access to building M&E facilities in coordination with building management.

We welcome candidates who have:

• Min 8 to 10 years of Construction experience handling interior fit-out projects.
• Degree / Diploma in Building Construction.
• Candidates with AEI or structural experience will be highly considered.
• Must have experience using Microsoft Projects and doing Project scheduling.
