• Lead the design management and delivery of ports and maritime infrastructure projects, including port expansions, marine structures, coastal infrastructure and waterfront developments.
• Own and manage packages of work, taking accountability for scope, program, technical delivery and client outcomes.
• Coordinate with AECOM teams across Australia and and across the globe, leveraging our design capability to deliver complex maritime infrastructure projects.
  Act as the client interface, building trusted relationships with port authorities, government agencies and private sector clients.
• Manage project delivery end-to-end, including design and commercial management, programme coordination and multidisciplinary technical integration.
• Provide leadership across maritime and coastal engineering disciplines, ensuring designs align with industry standards and best practice.
  Support the growth of AECOM’s Ports & Maritime capability globally, mentoring engineers and strengthening delivery teams.

• Own the day-to-day leadership of the ANZ creative function, guiding a talented team across ANZ to deliver consistent, high-quality brand and creative outputs aligned to regional and enterprise priorities.
• Bring campaigns to life - from BAU brand activity and toolkit governance through to marketing campaigns, bids, and client-facing materials that make an impact.

Following significant project wins across key markets, our Building Engineering team is looking to speak with multi-disciplinary design managers to join our teams, based in Melbourne.

This role will lead multi-disciplinary design teams across key market sectors including healthcare, aviation, sports infrastructure, defence, education and transport infrastructure.

How you’ll make a difference:

• Lead multidisciplinary design coordination across major projects, ensuring alignment between architectural, civil, structural and building engineering disciplines from concept through delivery.
• Act as the primary client lead, facilitating stakeholder workshops, extracting functional and operational requirements, and converting them into clear, coordinated design briefs.
• Own the front-end design strategy, establishing project execution plans, technical assurance processes, risk registers and programme controls from concept through detailed design.
• Provide design direction and leadership in solving challenges as they arise, including technical, functional and legislative requirements – be across the full project technically at a high level and go deep when required.
• Oversee quality and design governance, chairing coordination reviews, ensuring compliance with sector-specific standards (healthcare, aviation, sports infrastructure, transport), and maintaining technical assurance throughout.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to discipline leads, promoting collaboration, resolving interface challenges, and ensuring buildable, efficient and sustainable design outcomes.
