Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Lead and participate in quality planning such as FMEA, control plan, mistake proofing, supplier qualifications
- Lead in Quality Audit (ISO9000, ISO14001) and maintenance of Quality Management system
- Lead in supplier quality management activities including supplier performance assessment, warranty and claim process and supplier certifications
- Drive statistical methods in process control and continual improvement in process control and quality
- Provide technical support during Project QA, installation, testing and commissioning.
- Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements when required
- Ensuring the compliance with all the specifications and requirements included in the signed EPC contracts .
- Co-ordination with Safety / O&M / technical / engineering resources / customers and other stakeholders for QA/QC activities as needed
- Develop and and maintain a non-conformance control system including issuing of non-conformance reports to the EPC contractors and ensure corrective actions are implemented and effective
- Establish a contractor quality programme which trains the contractors to conform to Sembcorp’s requirements and put in place a system to achieve the required standards
- Manage and maintain NCR registry and drive stakeholders for closure
- Perform FAT local and overseas for key critical components when required.
- To understand and support QC activities when required.
Qualifications & ExperienceÂ
- Degree/ Diploma in electrical or mechanical or civil engineering discipline
- Minimum 3-year working experience as a engineering manager, QA manager, or engineering team lead.
- Knowledge of the SS:638 & SS601 preferable
- Holds a recognized Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certifications
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma quality concepts and toolsÂ
Preferred Skills & CharacteristicsÂ
- Self-starter and ability to self-manage.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Quality Management system and process
- Practical knowledge of 8D and root cause analysis process.
- Not afraid of heights, medically fit and able to climb vertical ladders.
- Safety certifications such as Working at Height, Construction Safety Orientation Course etc. preferred.
- Some travel will be required.
