Job Summary

• Spends most of the time in driving results based on the KPIs (ex. Quality and Timeliness, Error Report, Increased Productivity and Lowers Overtime, among others) and optimizing the work performance of the team.
• To facilitate and assist various accounting and administration processes of complex clients and conduct all work in accordance with IQ-EQ India Global Client Delivery's policies and procedures.
• As a supervisor, the Assistant Manager leads, organizes, coordinates, develops, monitors the performance, delegates tasks and responsibilities to team members.

• Responsible for review of Financial Statements with Disclosures, NAV reporting and other ad-hoc service requests for complex funds and/or corporate clients.

Tasks & Duties

Cluster Client Delivery

• Acquires and shares specialized knowledge and understanding of the clients’ agreements, Scope of Work (SOW), SLA’s and other necessary information needed to review and/or prepare deliverables.
• Confirms that the complete information, data and supporting documents are received for the review/preparation of the needed requirements, then escalates and requests from the cluster counterparts any missing information.
• Ensures the delivery of consistent and quality information within the agreed timeframes of the team.
• Coordinates with the cluster the deadlines (and any changes) of deliverables then plans and assigns the workload within the team.  Facilitate the request for support from peers, as needed.
• Prepare (if needed), completely review, and ensure the quality of the assigned clients’ deliverables within the agreed timelines.
• To be knowledgeable with the components of the reports generated by the appropriate platform/s, when necessary.
• Reviews the reports generated by the team.
• To be able to review outputs and all other deliverables prepared.
• Monitors all review comments for all clients have been addressed.
• Monitors that their team takes full ownership and replies to cluster/Client/Investor’s queries within 24 hours. 
• Addresses any job-related issues and concerns in a timely manner and escalates to the appropriate authorities, as needed.
• Communicates review comments to the team and then follows up to address pending comments for preparers.
• Monitors and oversees the interpretation of the requirements of the client and in some instances, does the research and validates in the absence of an Accountant.
• Drafts error reports/compliance cases by collecting information on the root cause then proposes the corrective actions and preventive measures in a timely manner.
• Gathers and organizes the information needed for the quarterly debrief meeting with the cluster to review the team's performance. This includes consolidating review comments and action points to watch out for the following quarter.
• Decides the proper treatment for transactions when differences in points of view arise, and escalate recommendations to appropriate authorities, as needed.
• Decides on escalated recommendations and if necessary, escalate to SMEs/Manager or technical team.
• Standardizes and optimizes the efficiency of the process of their funds.

Workflow Management

• Ensures timesheets are completed daily and accurately filed for all hours worked.
• Reviews and approves timesheets of their team and ensures they are completed daily and accurately filed for all hours worked in a timely manner (of their SA's).
• Reviews and pre-approves filed overtime of their team (SA's).
• Sets up, monitors and updates all deliverables via the workflow planner in a timely manner. 
• Oversees the accuracy and completeness of the workflow planner for the team.

Systems

• Understands and uses best practice on accounting platform/s.
• Understands and becomes knowledgeable on how to generate reports using reporting platform/s.

Risks

• Champions compliance by ensuring relevant procedures, checklists and SSAE requirements are adhered to and completed to mitigate errors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure concise and comprehensive audit reports are submitted for review and conduct presentation to the Management, the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors.
• Perform advisory functions as approved by the Audit Committee, to improve the design and effectiveness of internal control mechanisms and enhance efficiency in business processes, with the aim of adding value to the operations for continual improvement.
• Conduct special audits, ad-hoc investigations and reviews as and when required by the Audit Committee or the Board of Directors, in areas that require specific safeguards and appropriate internal controls.
• Contribute to the development of annual internal audit plan to align to Company’s strategy using risk-based and data-driven approach in evaluating governance framework, risk management, regulatory compliance processes and internal control systems. This include reviewing audit universe and risk assessment methodology and ensuring sufficient audit resources for the audit projects.
• Conduct periodic review in response to changes in Company’s emerging risks and if necessary, adjust Annual Internal Plan for approval by the Audit Committee.
• Provide support in the quarterly Audit Committee meeting and assist in administrative work such as annual internal audit budget, required for the running of the internal audit function.
• Build the competency of the audit team, including training and professional development for continuous improvements of the audit process, procedures and systems.
• Participate in internal audit initiatives to enhance the audit and risk management framework, with specific focus on data analytics and continuous auditing/continuous risk assessment.
• Promote internal audit as a management service that independently adds value by providing an accurate, concise analysis and reports in communicating audit results. Actively advocate the establishment of sound policies and guidelines on internal controls, risk management and corporate governance and sharing of good practices within the Company.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy/ACCA or professional CA qualification with CIA certification. CISA or CFE certification would be an advantage.
• At least 6 years of experience in internal audit, preferably in construction or engineering services industry with exposure in Big 4 accounting firms.
• Proficiency in the use of data analytics tools (e.g. ACL, IDEA, Power BI, tableau, etc).
• Self-driven individual who is adaptable to changing priorities and different challenges and thrives in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Good interpersonal and collaborative skills with ability to exercise objective judgement.
• Ability to influence and interact with confidence and develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders, management and multi-disciplinary staff across different levels.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and good report writing and presentation skills with strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
• Meticulous and resourceful with high level of commitment and initiative.

Job Description

The Department of Architecture invites applications for up to four Tenure Track positions in Landscape Architecture.  

The Department of Architecture in the College of Design and Engineering is ranked among the top 10 in the world, and Asia’s best in Architecture/Built Environment, by the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings (2023). It offers the professionally accredited Master of Architecture programme as well as a range of graduate and undergraduate programmes in related fields such as urban planning/design, landscape architecture and conservation. The faculty is correspondingly diverse and international. The Department offers internationally competitive remuneration, generous employment benefits as well as access to research funding for both junior and senior academics. International applicants will also receive subsidized housing at Kent Vale.    

Qualifications

Successful candidates should be actively engaged in landscape architectural research and design, including but not limited to geospatial analysis, landscape representation, urbanism, ecology, infrastructure, and landscape engineering. They should have interests in developing interdisciplinary research addressing pressing environmental, urban, and social challenges in Asia. Additional preferred qualifications include experience in professional practice or membership with professional bodies.  

Successful candidates are expected to contribute to landscape design studios for undergraduate and post-graduate students, and core modules related to geodesign, ecological and environmental systems, landscape policy and planning, landscape representation, and materials or site engineering. Depending on the rank, candidates may also be considered for leadership roles within the Bachelor or Master of Landscape Architecture programmes. Senior rank candidates with outstanding research profile and high international standing may be directly hired as tenured faculty.
