Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of critical electrical systems—including HVAC, WFI, PW, and steam utilities—ensuring continuous availability and minimal downtime.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and local safety regulations by conducting internal audits, enforcing work permit protocols, and implementing corrective and preventive actions like Kaizens, Poka-yoke, and OPLs.
- Lead engineering projects from initiation to completion, including resource planning, budget estimation, documentation, and coordination with finance and SCM for timely execution.
- Manage preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance strategies to reduce breakdowns, improve equipment health, and optimize utility generation costs.
- Train and guide the engineering team on maintenance procedures, hazard identification, and safety practices, while fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous learning.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments such as SHE, QA, QC, Production, IT, and Finance to ensure seamless maintenance of plant equipment and resolution of CRNs/incidents.
- Implement energy conservation techniques, monitor energy consumption, and drive cost reduction initiatives for spares and machinery through new technologies and systems.
- Prepare and execute equipment qualification and validation schedules—including URS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ protocols and ensure documentation compliance through cross-functional coordination.
