We’re looking for a Senior HR Manager to join a growing tech company as it sets up its presence in the Philippines.

The company is Pleased Technologies OPC, a tech company that develops a customer support SaaS platform used to handle customer interactions across chat, email, and other channels. Pleased is a product company, not a BPO. There are no customer service agents here, just software that helps companies manage support more efficiently.

This role is part of the early setup in the Philippines. While the entity is still being finalized, you’ll initially be engaged as a consultant via an offshore entity for the first few months. Once everything is in place locally, the plan is for you to move into a long-term role directly with Pleased.

You’ll be the first HR hire, so this is a build role. You’ll be setting things up from scratch: hiring, policies, compliance, and structure. The number one focus right now though is hiring. We want to hire at least 50 people this year, and have a budget/capacity for 100 if we can find the right people.

We’re not overly focused on years of experience. What matters more is whether you’ve actually built things, solved problems, and taken ownership. This is for someone practical, steady, and able to figure things out without needing a lot of structure in place.

You’ll also work closely with leadership, so we’re looking for someone who’s comfortable giving input, not just executing instructions. Someone who can say, “This role might not be needed yet,” or “Here’s a better way to structure this team.”

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build the HR function from the ground up (policies, processes, structure)
  • Lead hiring across roles (from sourcing to offer)
  • Make sure everything is compliant with PH labor laws and requirements
  • Set up compensation, benefits, and basic performance frameworks
  • Handle onboarding, contracts, and day-to-day HR matters
  • Act as a partner to leadership on hiring and org decisions
  • Help transition smoothly from consultant setup to full local operations

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a senior HR role (HR Manager / Senior HR / HR Lead)
  • Has built or helped build HR systems before
  • Strong understanding of Philippine labor laws and compliance
  • Confident in hiring and assessing candidates
  • Independent, organized, and practical
  • Comfortable in a setup-stage / fast-moving environment
  • Able to communicate clearly and push back when needed
  • Experience working with international teams is a plus

  • Salary: ₱150,000+ gross/month (DOE)
