Requirements:
- Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Quantity Surveying / Building / Building Survey / Project or Construction Management.
- Minimum 6 years related working experience.
- Experience in working on a variety of different projects including government complexes, commercial complexes, hospitals, high-rise offices and residential buildings.
- Self-starter and committed plus good interpersonal skill and persistence.
- Good leadership with an ambition to grow a team and the ability to work independently and creatively.
- Familiar with implementation experience with 5S, ISO 9001, BuildQAS, QLASSIC (and CIS7:2021) and OSHA 45001, with hands-on knowledge
Responsibilities:
- Assist in QLASSIC (CIS7:2021) and BuildQAS strategic implementation
- Implement the QA/QC management system at site in accordance to ISO9001 together with the Quality Manager and also in preparation of Project Quality Plan (PQP)
- Coordinate with quality inspections with all the site sub contractors’ and vendors’ non destructive testing on site
- Formulate micro work schedule and construction programmes in accordance with the project requirements and specifications.
- Identify trades and able to execute works sequential order to ensure compliance with the required quality with Architecture and M&E departments
- Coordinate with the Client’s representative on all quality matters
- Participate in the site internal and external site audits
- Formulate and coordinate all the quality site inspections for every stages of work namely; progress, PDI, CPC, CCC, DLP and CMGD
- Ensure all Quality Documentation is compiled and complete for Quality Records from inception of project to completion of project including as-builts, O&M and Warranties.
- Control all nonconformance reports and undertake remedial action with site team
- Monitor the implementation of the approved Project Quality Plan (PQP)
- Coordinate with the (site) Head of Project, Construction Manager, Architecture Manager and M&E Manager on all quality issues including all works Method Statements.
- Coordinate and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the projects subcontractors QC personnel
- Elaborating inspection and test programs (ITP)
- Assure all technical documents related to site quality control are to the current status

Beginning as a sub-contractor
The Group started from a humble beginning in 1996 as a sub-contractor. In 1999, Pesona Metro attained the CIDB G7 license. One of Pesona Metro’s fortes is in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of rivers which won the company a string of awards and recognitions from the construction industry.
First Main Contractor for "Design and Build"
In 2002, we secured our first job as the main contractor for the “Design and Build” project for the Rehabilitation and Beautification of Melaka River (Phases 1, 2 & 3) with a contract value exceeding RM234 million. This project was completed as scheduled and has set a new milestone for Pesona Metro for it was awarded the prestigious Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia (“PAM”) Award in 2009 for Category 8 (Special Category). It also won the Special Award for National Contribution in 2011 in the coveted FIABCI Malaysia Property Award. These accolades testified Pesona Metro’s reputation as a builder of timely delivery and exceptional quality.
"Design and Build" for Timah Tasoh Dam
In 2006, Pesona Metro secured the construction of Zehn Bukit Pantai in Kuala Lumpur, which was a two-block 25-storey luxurious condominium. Other prominent projects completed by Pesona Metro include Suruhanjaya Pilihanraya building, Sastra U-Thant Luxury Condominium, the Realignment and Rehabilitation of 3.7km Sungai Kerayong in Kuala Lumpur, Design and Build project for the Timah Tasoh Damn in Perlis and other road and bridge works in Terengganu.
Listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad
In 2012, Pesona Metro Holdings Berhad was listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (Construction Sector).
As the Group continues to grow, it has ventured into other complementing businesses that bring recurring revenues. It acquired Pesona Saferay Sdn Bhd that manufactures PU products that are used for interior and exterior façade applications, and also PM2 Building System Sdn Bhd that produces modular partition panels which is an excellent replacement of conventional bricks.
In summary, over the short span of two decades, Pesona Metro has morphed into a prominent and sustainable builder, with a reputation for quality works that continuously adds value to its stakeholders.
