Job Responsibilities

As a Linen Attendant, you will be responsible for managing linen and uniform inventories, maintaining organised storage areas, and supporting operational departments with timely distribution of supplies to ensure exceptional guest service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Linen & Uniform Operations

• Receive, sort, issue, and store hotel linens and employee uniforms efficiently.
• Inspect uniforms and linens for damage, wear, or quality issues and arrange for cleaning, repairs, or replacement where necessary.
• Ensure all linen and uniform items are properly labelled, stored, and readily available for operational use.
• Maintain accurate records of linen circulation and uniform issuance.

Inventory & Stock Management

• Monitor stock levels of linens, uniforms, and housekeeping supplies.
• Assist with regular stock counts, inventory checks, and reconciliation exercises.
• Track linen usage and report shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.
• Support inventory control measures to minimise loss and wastage.

Operational Support

• Deliver linens, uniforms, and housekeeping supplies to various departments as required.
• Assist with guest room setup requests, including extra beds, baby cots, and additional linen requirements.
• Coordinate closely with Housekeeping and Laundry teams to ensure uninterrupted linen supply.
• Facilitate the efficient movement of clean and soiled linen throughout the hotel.

Housekeeping & Organisation

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the linen room, storage areas, and uniform room.
• Ensure proper segregation and handling of clean and used linen.
• Follow established procedures to uphold hygiene and quality standards.
• Keep storage areas neat, safe, and well-organised at all times.

Safety & Compliance

• Comply with workplace health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Handle equipment, chemicals, and cleaning materials responsibly.
• Report equipment faults, hazards, or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow hotel policies and operational procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in housekeeping, laundry, linen room, or a similar role is advantageous.

Job Description:

• Implementing the Safety Management System and to ensure compliance by the site personnel as well as the various trades from sub-contractors.
• Responsible for project EHS management planning and derivation of programmes to continually improve EHS performance.
• Assist the projects to derive, identify and develop practices to incorporate to the organizational Safe Work Procedure.
• Advise project management on matters pertaining to EHS.
• To recommend to the project personnel the various training required for the personnel to be equipped with the knowledge’s, skills to enable them to perform their duties in a safe manner. Beside recommendation, also to assist, analyze and develop the various training needs for the workers.
• To assist the ESH department to identify, record, investigate and analysis any incident which resulted in injury, near misses or dangerous occurrence to prevent recurrence and to provide advised on the remedial measures.
• To assist the organizational requirements to maintain records of safety promotion and to promote safety awareness to all personnel attached to the worksite.
• Organize EHS programs and activities to promote safe and healthy conduct of workers.
• Assist the safety department to record, maintain, documented procedure, plan, motivate, lead and conduct site inspection to ensure compliance to legal legislations and organizational requirements.
• Assist the sub-contractors to establish risk assessment by identifying hazards and to recommend control measures to minimize the risks at project site.
• To establish an emergency response plan for the project site to ensure effective evacuation of personnel to the assembly area if an emergency occurred.
• Report and liaise with the management, relevant authorities on incident occurrence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess at least a Specialist Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Safety and Environment education field.
• Candidate must be a registered Workplace, Safety & Health Officer and/or Environmental Control Officer.
• Minimum 10 years of working experiences in infrastructure/ structural and M&E work on large scale construction project site.
• Possess knowledge and experience in related construction industry.
• Aptitude for data evaluation and strong analytical skills.
