We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Analyst, Consulting to independently manage and execute complex custom research projects. This role focuses on delivering strategic insights, driving innovation in research processes, and ensuring alignment of custom research deliverables with client and organizational objectives.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the successful, on-time delivery of custom research projects, ensuring the availability of high-quality, accurate, and validated data to support market analysis and research deliverables.
• Design and implement advanced workflows for data acquisition, cleansing, and processing, leveraging tools and methodologies to ensure robust and reliable datasets.
• Conduct primary research interviews with key industry contacts, synthesizing findings into actionable insights.
• Perform in-depth secondary research using credible sources such as trade journals, public reports, financial releases, and industry publications to gather comprehensive data for market intelligence.
• Build, validate, and maintain large-scale datasets and market analysis, ensuring alignment with product objectives, consistency with related markets, and thorough documentation of methodologies and assumptions.
• Drive innovation in research methodologies, tools, and processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and effectiveness in research execution and delivery.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and supporting their professional development to enhance team capabilities.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align research outputs with strategic objectives and ensure the delivery of high-value insights.

This role will be based at Menara Skymind. 

We are looking for a Senior Research Analyst to join our Manufacturing Technology team in Penang. 

• Scoping : use customer-centric feedback to direct minor scope changes, ensuring research remains fresh and relevant while understanding customer needs and questions to enhance research cycles and add value
• Writing and Thought leadership – providing qualitative analysis to support and justify data, focusing on change and development, and developing concise outputs using text plans and structured outlines while discussing the impact of technology and key market trends in written deliverables or market briefing sessions. 
• Sales support –  Partner with the sales team to generate new leads, progress existing leads, and support renewals, using scoping insights to evolve the research offering and align with client needs. 
• Event support – Collaborate with the events team to showcase research and strengthen Omdia’s position in the industry, gathering intelligence at events to develop new research propositions.
• Primary research – Conducting interviews with key industry contacts across various company types, attending trade shows, participating in face-to-face visits to build relationships and gather insights, and maintaining a detailed log of interactions and feedback.
• Secondary research –  Utilizing sources such as trade journals, in-house research, trade associations, public reports, financial releases, and company press releases to support primary research.
• Building base data –Build credible base data with sufficient market player coverage, creating estimates, ensuring consistency with related data and markets, and logging all assumptions clearly.
• Forecasting – Generating market projections using primary and secondary research supported by credible sources, logging assumptions, and creating narratives around market development, opportunities, and risks.
