ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an exceptionally experienced RPA Solution Architect and Technical Lead to define, lead, and govern our enterprise automation architecture across Insurance and Reinsurance operations. This is a principal-level, strategic-technical role that combines deep hands-on mastery of the UiPath platform with the architectural vision required to design scalable, secure, and high-performing automation ecosystems at enterprise scale.
With 10 or more years of RPA implementation experience, you will serve as the highest technical authority within the Intelligent Automation Centre of Excellence (CoE), making critical platform, integration, and governance decisions that shape the organisation’s automation capabilities for years ahead. You will lead a team of developers and BAs, engage directly with C-suite stakeholders, own the UiPath platform architecture, and drive the integration of AI and intelligent document processing capabilities into production automation programmes.
This role spans strategic planning, hands-on technical leadership, team mentorship, and executive stakeholder management — requiring a rare combination of deep engineering expertise and senior leadership presence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Solution Architecture & Technical Design
• Define and own the enterprise RPA architecture blueprint covering bot topology, Orchestrator infrastructure, HA/DR configuration, multi-tenant design, and integration patterns
• Conduct solution architecture reviews for all automation initiatives; approve SDDs before development commences through a formal Architecture Review Board process
• Design robust integration architectures connecting RPA bots with core insurance platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, RI3K, Sequel), ERP systems, APIs, and mainframes
• Establish and enforce platform-wide exception-handling frameworks, retry logic patterns, logging standards, and bot resilience design principles
• Design intelligent automation pipelines incorporating UiPath Document Understanding, AI Center, and external ML models for unstructured data processing in reinsurance operations
• Evaluate and architect hyperautomation solutions combining RPA, AI, process mining, low-code, and API automation to maximise end-to-end process coverage
• Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) and proof-of-value (PoV) exercises for emerging automation technologies including Agentic AI and GenAI integrations
B. Technical Leadership & CoE Governance
• Lead, mentor, and performance-manage a team of 5–15 RPA developers, BAs, and QA engineers across project delivery and BAU support functions
• Define, implement, and continuously improve CoE development standards, REFramework conventions, reusable component libraries, and Git-based version control workflows
• Chair architecture review sessions and code review boards; establish quality gates at each stage of the SDLC
• Own the CI/CD pipeline strategy for RPA using Azure DevOps or Jenkins; automate bot deployment, regression testing, and release management
• Define and govern the UiPath Test Suite strategy including automated regression packs, performance testing, and SLA validation frameworks
• Manage UiPath licence optimisation, Orchestrator resource governance, and platform capacity planning aligned to the automation portfolio roadmap
• Act as primary technical liaison with UiPath account management, solutions engineering, and professional services teams
D. Strategic Planning & Executive Engagement
• Develop and maintain the multi-year enterprise automation roadmap in alignment with IT and business transformation strategy
• Present automation architecture strategy, programme performance, and investment cases to CTO, CIO, COO, and Board-level stakeholders
• Define and track KPIs for the automation programme including bot utilisation, SLA adherence, FTE savings, error rates, and ROI
• Build and own the business case framework for new automation investments; present cost-benefit analyses and risk assessments to governance committees
• Engage with industry peers, UiPath user groups, and professional bodies to maintain awareness of automation market trends and best practices

INSURANCE & REINSURANCE DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE
Candidates with direct Insurance or Reinsurance domain experience are strongly preferred. The following knowledge areas are relevant:
Reinsurance Operations
• Deep understanding of treaty (quota share, surplus, XL) and facultative reinsurance structures, premium calculations, and profit commission mechanics
• Reinsurance accounting: cession entries, bordereaux processing, reinsurance recoverables, cash calls, and commutation
• Lloyd’s of London market operations, ACORD standards, and Singapore IFC reinsurance market dynamics
Insurance Operations
• P&C and/or Life insurance lifecycle: underwriting, policy issuance, endorsements, claims processing, and premium accounting
• Regulatory frameworks: Singapore MAS guidelines for insurers and reinsurers, PDPA compliance, IFRS 17 impact on reporting automation
• Core insurance and reinsurance platforms: Guidewire, Duck Creek, RI3K, Sequel Eclipse, Remetrica, or Xuber
