The aim of the program is to develop a full stack quantum processor system based on Yb-Ba ions emphasizing on the performance rather than on the qubit numbers. • To design and advance the research activities of the centre in bioimaging projects.

• Perform research in experimental optics, bioimaging, spectroscopy, metrology and develop novel approaches for optical and nonlinear optical experiments and instrumentation. The position offers the opportunity to do research work in collaboration with external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

The RF will support focused research activities at COLE. He/ She will assist the Principal Investigators (PIs) in the successful execution of the projects and will also be encouraged to introduce new ideas and projects. The roles of this position include:

• Design and conduct bioimaging experiments using optical, fluorescence, confocal, multiphoton, photoacoustic, or other advanced microscopy and imaging modalities

2. Assist in blood processing

• Processing of patient blood sample using Ficoll
• Ensure proper documentation of required information from blood processing

3. Assist in tissue logistics

• Sending of ice box to operating theatre
• Collection of patient tissue sample from pathology department

4. Assist in organoid culture

• Process tissue aseptically for culture of organoid
• Perform weekly maintenance for the organoid culture
• Ensure proper documentation of organoid inventory

5. Assist in genotype profiling of patient tumour sample and organoid

• DNA/RNA extraction from frozen tissue and organoid
• Submission of DNA/RNA samples to external sequencing partner
• Perform dPCR for genotype profiling of tumour sample and organoid

Requirements:

• Diploma in Biotechnology/Biomedical Science
• Open to students currently pursuing evening part-time degree studies
• Able to commit Mon-Fri office working hours
• Internship experience in diagnostic service laboratory or research laboratory
• Team player, strong collaborator
• Independent worker, possess initiative to complete tasks and projects assigned
• Highly motivated to learn new techniques and not afraid to ask if unsure
