Work Location: Central,Singapore

Job Type: 3 Years Contract,subject to renewal

About the Role:

The Application Developer will play a key role in analyzing, designing, developing, and delivering high-quality applications using web and mobile technologies. The role requires close collaboration with architects, analysts,and development teams to ensure technical cohesion and timely delivery of solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with architects and analysts to ensure cohesion between the proposed solutions and technical requirements.
2. Participate actively to the analysis and design of new functionalities and components according to development specifications.
3. Build modules and interfaces for various applications using Web and mobile technologies.
4. Participate to development meetings and share information to help with project progress.
5. Design and carry out verification tests to ensure the quality of the applications that have been developed.
6. Document the work completed as part of the project.
7. Preparation of training manuals for users.
8. Deliver the solution within the timeline with good work quality.
9. Perform other related tasks as when required.

Job Requirements:

1. A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Science, IT, Engineering or related field from a recognized university.
2. A minimum of 4 years programming experience in object-oriented programming languages using C#.
3. At least 2 years of working experience on .NET MVC 5, Razor views, Web API, Entity Framework and WCF.
4. Working experience on web user interface components like Bootstrap, Kendo UI or similar components.
5. Deep functional knowledge or hands-on design experience with Web Services.
6. Experience with relational database technology including schema design, stored procedure development and SQL queries.
7. Deep expertise and hands-on experience with Web front end technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and AJAX.
8. A minimum of 1 year of experience in Unit testing.
9. Hands-on experience with AngularJS.
10. Experience in Agile / Scrum / CMMI methodologies (or any equivalent).
11. Exposure to SharePoint customization and familiarity with basic application security and web security is an advantage.

Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing teams in Singapore. The role is a unique opportunity to build beautifully simple experiences that guide our customers through Wise, helping them to live, travel and work without borders.

How you’ll be contributing to our Engineering team:

• Help us take Wise to the next level as we scale to impact 100's of millions more customers. You'll hide away all complexities under the hood of our product and build seamless experiences for our customers

• Contribute to core application functionalities, ensuring a robust and positive user experience, especially during unexpected scenarios or issues. 

• Create clear and helpful interfaces, whilst maintaining consistency, maintainability, performance and an understanding of what problems our customers might encounter along the way

• Take initiative to identify and solve important problems. Coordinates with others on cross-cutting technical issues

• Drive product improvement that impacts the Wise customer experience or empowers internal stakeholders to do their job effectively. 

• Proactively identify and tackle technical debt becoming too big through planning work and aligning the team. Does this with careful evaluation of additional cost on development

Qualifications

A bit about you

• You have solid Java 17 plus knowledge and experience with Spring framework

• You have experience working with relational and non-relational databases, query optimisation and schema design

• You approach challenges with a strong product mindset, prioritise customer needs and make data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-points

• You have led the design and development of complex engineering solutions and understand their broader impact on business outcomes.

• You have excellent communication skills and can articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audience

• You have front end experience in technologies like React, Next, Svelte or Angular

• You are familiar with Continuous Integration and deployment frameworks

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overall application development, customization and configuration of Hexagon's Smart 3D and SmartSketch.
• Setting up and administering multi-discipline detailed design projects using SP3D and other 3D tools.
• Defining and applying security groups’ permissions:

1. 3D Symbol Development

2. Loading and customizing hangers and support.

3. Customizing new name rules.

4. Custom command development.

5. SQL and Oracle Server expertise.

6. Creating procedures and functions in SQL.

7. SQL report customization for catalogue and model integration between S3D and SPPID, and other 2D to structural macros development for different types of connections.

• Isogen customization and configuration:

1. New view style development

2. Preparing and loading SP items.

3. Preparing and loading instruments.

4. Setting up SPR/DGN export reports.

5. Setting up 3D reference models.

6. Setting up IFC codeless rules and customization.

• User training for SP3D:

1. Database maintenance.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
• Postgraduate diploma in Piping Engineering
• At least 14+ years of Smart 3D, RD and PDS in engineering, procurement and construction of oil & gas, petroleum, petrochemical.
• Experience with Smart 3D (S3D), Smart Reference Database (SRD), Plant Design System (PDS), Plant Design Management System (PDMS) and other associated S3D applications, customization, and development, MicroStation V8, and AutoCAD.
• Possess leadership and decision-making skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong facilitation, analytical, and design skills.
• SQL installation on server and client machine skill
• Good problem-solving skills.
