IT Service Management Support provides A&O Shearman (AOS) with an initial point of contact for providing first and second line resolution for IT support calls, requests and reporting. The team manages requests for new services and liaises with other areas of IT to resolve issues with existing systems and hardware.

What you will do

• Manage IT service incidents reported by school users through the Service Desk Support Portal, specifically those related to personal computers, networks, platforms, and applications.

• Effectively resolve issues or provide alternative solutions to restore IT services to normal operation within the established Service Level Agreement (SLA).

• Escalate unresolved issues or additional support requests to the appropriate support team.

• Provide timely updates to customers regarding the status of outstanding issues in accordance with targeted service levels.

• Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of customer interactions and transactions within the IT Service Desk Management System.

• Provide end-user support for classroom technology to educators, assisting with IT and audio-visual equipment such as Interactive TVs, Apple TV, projectors, and associated applications to expedite the return to normal classroom activities.

• Oversee the life cycle management of IT assets, including the registration, tracking, and decommissioning of hardware devices and software licenses.

• Conduct upgrades to PC hardware and software, which includes regular maintenance and installation of service packs, patches, and applications.

• Remain updated on product knowledge, policies, and procedures to furnish customers with accurate and relevant information.

• Execute additional responsibilities as directed by the Head of IT Operations and Business Partnering, the Helpdesk Manager, or other designated personnel within the School.

Software Development & AI Implementation

1. i. Develop scalable, resilient cloud-native applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
2. ii. Implement AI features by integrating machine learning models, APIs, and cloud AI services into production applications.
3. iii. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that addresses real user needs, following established coding standards and best practices.

Cloud Development & Deployment

• Build applications leveraging cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, utilising their core services and AI capabilities.
• Develop microservices, containerised applications, and serverless functions as part of larger system architectures.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy applications through CI/CD pipelines and monitor application performance in cloud environments.

Agile Team Participation

• Actively participate in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work collaboratively with the Lead Developer,product owners, and cross-functional team members to deliver features within sprint commitments.
• Contribute to story estimation, task breakdown, and sprint goal achievement whilst embracing agile principles and continuous learning.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience, preferably with minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering roles with exposure to cloud-based applications.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, JavaScript, Golang or similar. Strong foundation in computer science concepts including data structures, algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming principles, with knowledge in database concepts (SQL, No-SQL) and CI/CD pipeline (GitHub workflows);
• Familiar with web development technologies (HTML,CSS, JavaScript), API Design, DevOps principles, version control (Git), software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.
• Basic experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and understanding of cloud services. Familiarity with containerization concepts (Docker) and API development.
• Experience working in agile development environments using Scrum or Kanban methodologies
• Experience working with AI coding assistants (e.g. Github CoPilot, Claude Code); and

We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Operations Monitoring Assistant to support a short-term project at our customer's site in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring operational systems, capturing and escalating alerts, preparing reports, and providing general administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor operational systems and dashboards at the customer site.
• Track and record system alerts and incidents.
• Escalate alerts and issues to designated stakeholders via email.
• Extract and compile data from Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
• Prepare monthly reports on alerts, incidents, and operational issues.
• Perform ad-hoc administrative and operational duties as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting of issues.

Requirements
