Our client, a leading architectural consultancy, is seeking an experienced Laboratory Design Planner to lead the planning and design of specialized laboratory spaces for scientific, research, and technical facilities. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex lab projects, ensuring functionality, safety, and operational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and plan laboratory layouts and facilities that support scientific and technical workflows effectively
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients to integrate lab designs into overall building plans
- Evaluate user requirements, operational workflows, and space utilization, ensuring safety and efficiency
- Prepare and maintain technical drawings, planning documents, and design specifications
- Ensure all laboratory designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and sustainability best practices (e.g., BSL, GMP, ISO standards)
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose innovative, practical solutions for lab operations
- Support project delivery from concept design to construction and commissioning, coordinating with multidisciplinary stakeholders at each stage
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Science, or related discipline
- 3–5 years’ experience in laboratory planning, laboratory design, or facility coordination within architectural or consultancy projects
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment, utilities, and environmental health & safety (EHS) standards
- Proficient in design and planning software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

- Location: Central
- Working hours: Monday – Friday, Office Hours
- Salary: up to S$7,000 and Bonus (Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)
