Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Manages group room enquiries (10 or more rooms / people) and related functions, dealing from receipt of request to contracting and payment.

2. Liaise with in-house departments for a quick and smooth execution and conversion of group business. Maintains ownership of group blocks, including pickup numbers, reservation methods, billing, and proper treatment of VIP guests.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Sales Manager – Rooms is responsible for driving room revenue through proactive sales efforts, account management and market development.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, this role focuses on identifying and securing business across key segments including corporate, leisure and travel trade. This position involves conceptualizing, tracking, and reporting corporate KPIs to ensure long-term targets remain on track, driving collaboration with Workforce Singapore (WSG), and overseeing the SSG Board portfolio. The incumbent will also perform secretariat duties for key meeting platforms, requiring a detail-oriented and proactive individual capable of engaging stakeholders and synthesizing complex information.

The Senior Manager level will be expected to handle work of greater complexity and manage additional projects.

· Strategize and plan short-to-medium term corporate strategies, aligning whole-of-agency direction to map out year-on-year priorities

· Drive collaboration with sister agency Workforce Singapore (WSG) to strengthen the Jobs-Skills nexus with joint strategies, workstreams, and indicators

What we are looking for

• Possess the required competencies to execute the job duties proficiently
• Manager: Up to 6 years of relevant work experience in corporate planning. Those with no relevant experience but have been involved in relevant projects or short stints in similar areas / functions can apply
• Senior Manager: At least 6 years of relevant work experience in corporate planning

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, Certified Piping Engineer (CPE) or other related equivalent certification.
• 5 years+ of experience in piping engineering, design, or project execution.
• Experience in industrial, oil & gas, power plants, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Preferred candidates with a background in Data Centres, Oil & Gas, Power Plants, or Industrial Facilities.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, Caesar II (pipe stress analysis), and Navisworks.
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, pipe stress, and thermal expansion analysis.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3, API, ANSI, NFPA, and other industry standards.
• Experience with welding processes, material selection, and non-destructive testing (NDT).

The CRO division develops and oversees the global framework for risk identification, control, reporting, and management within the risk tolerance for the various business activities for the bank, aiming at sustainable growth of the franchise. The Periodic Review Compliance Officer (“PR CO”) will be responsible for Compliance Singapore’s review and approval of all High and Highest existing client relationships, portfolios and accounts booked in the bank.

KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION

• Support the CRO and Senior Management of BJBS Branch in ensuring compliance with external and internal regulations in the areas mentioned above and actively manage operational, regulatory and reputational risks.

• Part of the Periodic Review team of Compliance Officers supporting the bank Branch.

• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders such as the bank Front Office, Client Documentation Services (CDS), KYC/AML Onboarding, AML Investigations and Risk Management teams.

• Support Head of AML/KYC Singapore and the Head of Periodic Review in the management of Compliance’s review of existing client relationships, portfolios and accounts booked in BJBS, as well as the review of new/incremental KYC/CDD risk identified during the duration of the client’s relationship with the bank.

• Collaborate and guide local and overseas Relationship Managers (i.e. Hong Kong, Thailand and Dubai) in their periodic review submissions, including KYC profile changes, account structure changes and newly identified adverse news and risk elements

• Assist and support ad-hoc KYC/CDD related matters and enquiries from regulators, auditors (internal and external) and Head Office

• Review client’s profile for the relevant periodic review period to ensure conformity to internal requirements and latest regulatory requirements on AML/CFT/CDD standards; Ensuring completeness, consistency and accuracy of KYC information, adequacy of source of wealth (“SOW”) narrative and reasonableness of plausibility assessment

• Perform client risk assessments and due diligence analysis with focus on High/Highest risk profiles

• Assess and address incremental AML/KYC risk noted during periodic review; escalations on incremental risks noted on client profile

• Review and assess name screenings to facilitate periodic review (Google, World check, Factiva).

• Perform transaction review for all transactions occurring during the relevant periodic review period; Ensuring the transactional activities are aligned with client’s risk profile; Identify and investigate any suspicious transactions.

• Participate in projects, process improvement and discussions relating to KYC/CDD

• Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

• Ensure KYC/CDD issues are properly identified, assessed and documented.

• Timely escalations where KYC/CDD measures cannot be completed, especially where suspicious activities /conduct is identified.
