We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Backend Developer to design, build, and lead the development of robust, scalable backend systems that power our digital products and applications. You are a strong problem solver who thrives on architecting elegant technical solutions, leading backend engineering efforts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performing systems that solve real-world business problems.

As a technical lead in backend development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our backend architecture, driving best practices, and ensuring seamless system integrations and performance.

Job Description:

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
Collaborate with product managers and frontend teams to deliver fit-for-purpose digital solutions aligned with business and IT strategy.
Ensure backend systems are secure, reliable, and optimized for performance.
Drive technical discussions, make architectural decisions, and review code to ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
Act as a mentor to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Manage system integrations across internal and third-party platforms
Contribute to DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and safe software delivery.
Document key design decisions, system workflows, and technical specifications.
Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure uptime and resilience.
Must actively participate in peer code reviews, adhering to strict code quality and security standards enforced by SonarQube (Static Analysis) and Checkmarx (SAST).

Job Requirements:

Hands-on backend development experience in enterprise or cloud-native applications.
Proficient in Java Spring Boot.
Solid experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ).
Expertise in database architecture and performance tuning across SQL, NoSQL, and Caching layers (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
Proven track record of maintaining high code quality through mandatory Test-Driven Development (TDD) or equivalent practices, with deep proficiency in JUnit, Mockito, and automated API testing via Postman.
Comfortable working in Linux environments, with knowledge of shell scripting and deployment practices.
Familiar with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience in system integration with platforms like SAP, Salesforce, or other enterprise systems is a plus.
Understanding of secure coding principles and API security standards (OAuth2, JWT, etc.).
Familiarity with AI services (e.g., Azure Cognitive Services, Google AI APIs) is a plus.
Expertise in Git-based version control and source code management is essential, including proficiency in advanced branching strategies, merge conflict resolution, and repository organisation.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD automation platforms (e.g., Bamboo, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and observability tools is highly advantageous.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Able to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Lead and execute end-to-end OIG implementations with a strong emphasis on hands-on configuration, customization, and integration for complex enterprise environments.
Drive application onboarding projects for a variety of systems (e.g., HR, ERP, CRM, custom apps), covering both out-of-the-box and custom connectors. This includes:
Analysis of application requirements and mapping to OIG connectors.
Development of custom connectors and adapters where standard options do not suffice, including ICF based framework.
Implementation of automated provisioning, deprovisioning, and access certification workflows.
Integration with authoritative sources (e.g., HRMS) and target systems (e.g., databases, directories, SaaS platforms).
Building and configuring OIG SOA workflows, approval policies.
Developing custom UI components for OIG self-service.
Design and implement IGA use cases on OIG such as:
Role-based access control (RBAC) and role mining.
User lifecycle management (joiner, mover, leaver processes).
Access request and approval workflows tailored to business needs.
Periodic access reviews and compliance reporting.
Hands-on troubleshooting and optimization of OIG components, including connectors, SOA workflows, and scheduled jobs.
Customize OIG functionality such as:
Using Java, Groovy, or other supported scripting languages to address unique business requirements.
Hands on experience with REST APIs, web services, event handlers, validation plugins and scheduled tasks.
Hands on experience with Oracle BI Publisher based audit reports.
Hands on experience in building custom Oracle SOA composites for workflows.
Ability to reuse existing code and extend frameworks.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation for onboarding processes, customizations, and operational procedures.
Advise on best practices for OIG upgrades, patching, and understanding of other IAM technologies (e.g., SailPoint, Okta, Microsoft Entra, etc.) as needed.
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field;
8+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Identity Governance (OIG v11+), including application onboarding, upgrades, and IGA use case implementation;
Proven experience delivering complex OIG integrations across diverse enterprise applications and environments;
