Job Scope:

• Monitor, operate, and maintain utility systems and production equipment such as Boiler steam generation system, Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP); Odour Containment System with chemical scrubber; Reverse Osmosis (RO) water system; Chillers etc
• Ensure all utility systems and production equipment start and operate efficiently and reliably.
• Conduct regular maintenance activities such as chemical top-ups for systems like WWTP and chemical scrubber. Removal and proper disposal of waste residues, such as flocculated sludge in WWTP
• Perform Periodic inspection and preventive maintenance of all systems and production equipment
• Perform functional checks and monitor key operating parameters, maintaining accurate records.
• Execute primary maintenance programs and promptly identify early signs of malfunction or wear, reporting issues to superiors.
• Coordinate and liaise with vendors and contractors for maintenance works, spare parts procurement, and chemical supplies.
• Oversee contractor-led instrument calibration programs for utility systems and production equipment.
• Other ad hoc duties assigned

Job Requirements:

• Min NITEC in Engineering and above
• Open to perform 12 hour shift
• Certificate of Competency for Boiler Attendant (Class 2) is an added advantage

Role Purpose

The AV Solution Sales Executive will be responsible to work with partners to develop and manage direct end-user opportunities for professional AV and workplace technology solutions.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and develop new sales opportunities with corporate and commercial end users.
• Meet customers to understand their AV, meeting room, collaboration, digital signage, LED wall, projection, sound system, phone systems, or workplace technology requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers, including business owners, facility managers, IT managers, project managers, consultants, and procurement teams.
• Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry, requirement gathering, proposal, quotation, negotiation, closing, and project handover.
• Follow up on leads, incoming enquiries, referrals, and repeat business from existing customers.
• Maintain good knowledge of professional AV, unified communications, video conferencing, display, LED wall, digital signage, and workplace technology solutions.

Required Competencies

• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, IT, Engineering, Audio Visual, or related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of sales experience, preferably in AV, unified communications, IT solutions, workplace technology, system integration, or related B2B project sales.

The Role

A Specialist Associate is required to assist in the maintenance and management of the St. John’s Island National Marine Laboratory (SJINML), a marine station locate on St. John’s Island, Singapore. The candidate must have an experience in facility management and well verse in electrical, mechanical and aircon systems.

Located on St. John’s Island, SJINML is a shared-use National Research Infrastructure managed by the National University of Singapore that supports marine science research. SJINML hosts marine science researchers and students from various institutions, both local and international. The candidate's primary duties will be to work as part of the infrastructure team responsible for the management and maintenance of marine research facility, that include offices, labs, aquaria, mechanical room, seawater intake pump room, etc. The candidate needs to ensure the facility is well-maintained and functional.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:Manage facility Managing Agent (MA) on the routine scheduled inspections and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to prevent failures.Manage facility MA on the general maintenance of the SJINML facilities and infrastructure, including the maintenance of seawater pumps and aquaria systems, facilities and safety management.
• Repairs and Renovations:Manage facility MA to execute building maintenance, including painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and lighting, to keep facilities functional.Assist in facility upgrading and renovation works
• Safety & Compliance:Monitor building security and fire systems, ensuring all areas meet the latest safety compliance.Review safety risk assessments (RA) and standard operating procedure (SOP) plans for facility.Assist the Safety Coordinator/s on safety matters including documentation and reporting
• Emergency Response: Serve as a primary contact for facility-related emergencies.
• Vendor Management:Coordinate with external contractors on works that required specialized maintenance.General admin work related to facility.
• Record Keeping: Maintain logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of supplies.
• Assist in logistics for SJINML activities and programmes at large
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Technical Knowledge: Familiar with working system in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. 
• Troubleshooting: Good analytical skills to diagnose technical issues. 
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform manual labour, including lifting equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces. 
• Minimum NITEC/ NTC 2/ Diploma in any relevant field preferably Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering. Must be able to read and interpret circuit drawings for electrical and electronics and manage basic plumbing. 
• First aider experience and Class 3 driving licence would be useful.
• Job location is St John's Island and travel to work includes ferry ride. Candidate must be able to swim. He/she/they should be prepared to work in offshore location. 
• As the job requires frequent interaction with students and researchers, good communication skills and a positive attitude is required. 
• Candidate should be self-motivated and able to work in a team and individual.
